Pretty good weekend for our loaned or co-owned Primavera boys:

The following players were starting: Leali (Lanciano), Pinsoglio (Vicenza), Spinazzola (Empoli), Bouy (Brescia, playing right now)

Subbed in: Giandonato (Vicenza, 88'), De Silvestro (Pro Vercelli, 46' and scored his first goal!), Appelt (Pro Vercelli, 61')

Masi and Boakye are with the U21 and major national team.

baroni job is to make them better every year.
i would take a few loses a year if that means mattiello plays every week and finally comes in the first team.

if him and untersee for example breaking through that is also baroni job.

primavera and youth is about developing not only about winning.

the first team need to win every week.
and pessotto when to Ajax for an example on how to make the youth academy better.
amd then is this the result.
juve plays underage players in primavera and not overaged.
but 17 ages kids vs 19 ages kids isn't really far in phsysical ways, but it makes the players becoming smarting on the pitch and not English fight pitbulls
Good post, Janna. The youth system is all about development. Usually if you have good players then good results will follow, but trophies are not important at this level. People couldn't even name 80% of the players who won Trofeo Viareggio tournaments with us in recent years.

This weekend I haven't watched any Serie B games, will try to catch a few Pro Vercelli and Brescia games as I'm particularly interested in the development of Gabriel, Masi and Bouy. I read that Gabriel had a very good game.

Here's a funny story from Jacob Barrett Laursen who is a 17 year old Dane on the Primavera team
(I translated the story just for you, so give me some +rep :p):

-I was shocked when Gianluca Pessotto came running into the locker room and asked me to find my boots and come training with the first team. It went so fast that I didn't even notice who I was playing against. So I was doing pretty well.

    - I was playing left back next to Lucio and was facing Nicklas Bendtner. I don't think he realised I was Danish before I spoke to him when I stayed home defending when our team had a corner. It was quite funny.

-Of course this means that I have a lot of confidence at the moment. Now I'm playing for the Primavera team and get the chance to train with some of the best players in the world and get the impression of what it takes to make it in a big club. It definitely gives me ambitions of getting closer to the first team. I already had those ambitions when I signed the contract.

-I think it is about the individual player. If you are ready to the challenge and if you believe you're good enough, then you're going to do fine.

Good luck, Jacob! I hope to see you in the first team squad soon! :)

Glad Leali (and so many others) are starting. There is always the worry that they do not play on loan like Gabbiadini. Di Silvestro sounds like he has played well so far, but a bit surprised Boakye didn't start seeing as he was important for Sassualo last year.

I'm interested in how Spinazzola gets on, thought he looked good for the primavera last season.

Hector Otin, 16 years old striker that Juve bought from Zaragoza.

"Now I am still out with an ankle problem but in a couple of weeks i'll back on the field. I was disappointed because of this injury, Antonio Conte wanted to see me and some of teammates in training with the first team, but I could not attend that session . I hope to have another opportunity. Practicing within a short distance from champions like Buffon and Pirlo fills me with pride and my favorite Juventus player is Vucinic, although my idol as a striker is Ibrahimovic. "

"I decided to come to Juve because even though I was already with the first team in pre-season at Zaragoza, i wanted a top club like Juventus.I'm Here to work, to realize my dream with Juventus. I realized that football for me is no longer a game and if you want to be the best you have to work hard. "

    ----------------------------

He seems to be mature and confident of his abilities.
