I suppose the goal is to bring through lots of players who could play at Serie A level, and keep the best/most suitable ones.

Padovan is nothing to be excited about imo. Of course he scored a bunch of goals recently, but when i watched him for a couple of previous occasions he was mediocre.
Immobile was impressive in Primavera during his time, much better than Padovan.

So as you can see, the investment made this season in young players was HUGE. I'd say they probably spent no less than 20M with youngsters - taking into account Leali (3.8M), Boakye (4M), Gabbiadini (3.5M), Bonatini (2.5M). These 4 players only cost almost 14M. We agreed to pay United stg for Pogba (I'd say around 1/2M).

Also, take this kid Laursen for example - according to sources he cost 0.7M.

Kabashi and Rugani - both together will cost around 1.8M.

Otin - cost at least 0.6M.

And there we go. Spent at least 20M this season thinking about the future.

So, the Primavera team was almost completely dismantled. There was an awful lot of rotation by the coach, but the basic team consisted of a 4-2-3-1:

Branescu - Untersee (Carfora), Gouano (Carlos Garcia), Rubin (Magnusson), Liviero (Belfasti) - Chibsah, Gabriel Appelt (Buoy) - De Silvestro (Schiavone), Beltrame, Spinazzola - Padovan (Libertazzi)

Ruggiero, Lanini, Margiotta, Mattiello, also played a lot of games.

There are basically 3 top competitions for Primavera in Italy: Villareggio, Coppa Italia and Campionato Privamera.

The team won the Villareggio competition (which is pretty traditional, and is similar to Coppa Italia), beating Roma in the final. Spinazzola was named the best player. It's been a while since Juventus didn't win one of the major competitions.

In Coppa Italia, the team achieved the final, and lost to Roma (lost the first 1-2 at Juventus Stadium and drew 0-0 at Olimpico)

In Campionato Primavera (the most important), the team won its group stage but lost in 4finals to Milan - 0x2.

Who looks the most likely to be a quality player?

I think Juventus is quite loaded with good prospects now.

Schiavone, De Sivestro, Libertazzi, Spinazzola, Beltrame, Padovan, all seem to be talented and they figure in Italy U18/U20 teams. Padovan is skilled and scores an awful lot of goals and Beltrame is quick, can play as an SS, is creative but can also score.

Rugani is the captain of Italy U18, apparently a very good commanding CB. Kabashis is deemed to have great skills - dribbling - but has to mature a lot yet.

Mattiello is a 17 yr old very talented midfielder who did great for Allevi and is already a starter in Primavera. Very promising attacking midfielder.

Untersee is licth's heir. he's deemed to be a talented and solid RB. They're playing him as CB right now, because Primavera's system is officially 3-5-2, and players are struggling to adapt. The WBs are originally AMFs.

Also, good prospects with Gouano, Magnussen (tall and very technical defender, shoots very well). Liviero (LB) and Rubin (CB) are also part of the Italian NT youth teams. Chibsah is very solid and reliable.

Now, there's a shit load of players who can succeed at a high level... Juventus'policy towards youth has changed dramatically. They are investing a lot of money. We probably have now one of the 3 top Italian youth setup, along with Inter and Roma.
