Prince? You're asking too many questions, too early :D

Beltrame, Schiavone and Magnusson are still lurking around the starting team despite being 1993 born players. All three are amongst the best we have. I particularly like Beltrame a lot, he has a lot of skill.

Some dismiss Padovan as a limited CF, but he is better than that. Like Libertazzi, he came into his Primavera team as an underage player, but he replaced Libertazzi in the side even though he was captain. Unlike Libertazzi, his game is not based on just physique, he has a nice left foot and touch around the area.

Of the others Branescu and Untersee are players we have seen already. Branescu seems to be more highly rated by Italian observers than our forum members. I think he is perhaps a bit error-prone to be a Serie A level keeper, but we'll see. Untersee I like a lot, he is another who came up an age group and he has a lot of spirit and stamina. You could see him having a good career.

    Of the newbies the only ones I have seen play are those who were starters in the Allievi or I've seen for Italy's U18s;
Citti - keeper who we took a couple of years back, very highly rated in his age group.
Pol Garcia - classy left footed central defender or left back, looks competent physically.
Rugani - he's Italy U17 captain and now U19, FM wonderkid :)D), no surprise he was called up for pre-season and played some games.
Mattiello - very talented midfielder who we took from Lucchese, next great white hope.
Di Benedetto - I've seen him play for the Italy junior teams many times, skillful and direct wing forward who we might not see regularly, at least to begin.
Emmanuello - rangey midfield player who I expect will play more this year.

    The hyped ones who I have yet to see much;
Leo Bonatini - we paid some millions for him, so I'm expecting him to be good.
    Curti - new Nesta, etc.
    Laursen - new Magnusson.
Mattelli - big left back, worth keeping an eye on.
Kabashi - don't recall seeing him but super rated, we paid €1.8m for him.
Owusu - came out of nowhere and is starting, be interesting to see him more.
Slivka - Lithuanian lad, yet to see him.

I agree with you in almost everything.

Branescu seems to have raw talent. The guy is big, great reflexes and agility. But he doesn't look good at decision making and playing with his feet. Gotta mature a lot yet.

There's also De Silvestro who is a good winger. He's developed a lot from last year or so. Tall, quick, good skills, scores regularly. A regular for Italy U20. He's in a co-own with Pro Vercelli I think. He could be good.

Beltrame is definitely the biggest name right now. Skilled, intelligent and scores a lot of goals. They thought about sending him on a loan to Juve Stabia but have given up and he'll continue to be the biggest name.

Padovan I agree with you. He scores a lot of goals but not only that. He's intelligent and skilled. Also Spinazzola seems to be a talented youngster. All these kids (De Silvestro, Beltrame, Schiavone, Padovan, Spinazzola, Libertazzi) played in a rotation system and all of them have potential to some extent. They all are part of different Italy U20/U19/U18 NTs.

Mattiello is one of the most promising of them all right now. Typical trequartista I guess. 17 yr old kid who should be playing with the Allevi but has already moved to Primavera and has been starting games. He was the best player in an international tournament with the allevi not a long time ago.

Kabashi, from what I've read, seems to be very skilled, very technical. Clearly talented. But he's not very efficient, he could use his skills a lot better. Needs time to grow.

Also Hector Otin is seen as a possible phenomenon or something like that.

The amount of youngsters purchased during this mercato was just off the charts. Huge investment is being made. I guess we'll see a lot of talent coming out of the youth rakings in the next years.

Oh and also, the Primavera team is starting to play in the same system as Conte: 3-5-2. Players are struggling a bit to adapt. Untersee is playing as a CB, and both wingers are originally attacking midfielders. So gotta be patient now.

It's right that the youth team plays the same style, we need to have a uniform philosophy so the players can come into the team.

In an idea scenario we would have a model similar to Barcelona's (just about the only thing admirable they do), where they already have a strong team in place and have the purchasing power to make a big signing each summer, but also ready made players coming through the system for the first team.

Where is Kabashi from, his last name sounds Albanian and what position does he play?

Yeah Albanian. He's a midfielder, but I don't know whether it's central or wide.

Losing 4-0 currently. I think we can write this one off as one of those games.

baroni was heavily criticised after their performance in the next gen match against fenerbahce, but to lose by that many against cagliari who were 7/1 odds to win the game and finish up with 9 men is quite worrying and i question whether or not he is the right man to lead this team at this level.

If you go two players down early on in youth football you're in a lot of trouble, that scoreline is not really surprising. I don't think you can judge the level of the team or coach on this sort of game, but that game needs to be picked apart.

baroni job is to make them better every year.
i would take a few loses a year if that means mattiello plays every week and finally comes in the first team.

if him and untersee for example breaking through that is also baroni job.

primavera and youth is about developing not only about winning.

the first team need to win every week.
and pessotto when to Ajax for an example on how to make the youth academy better.
amd then is this the result.
juve plays underage players in primavera and not overaged.
but 17 ages kids vs 19 ages kids isn't really far in phsysical ways, but it makes the players becoming smarting on the pitch and not English fight pitbulls
