"Man Utd DNA" lmao, that shit died when Fergie left. They are lucky they are part of such a huge commercial empire because they can keep making mistake after mistake but still retain the resources to build a competitive squad.

Every single one of those that played for SAF goes back to the same mantra. They always talk about what would SAF do.

Last couple days Neville put out a "lineup that SAF would use to get this team put of their current predicament". No wonder they all failed at being managers, not a single self thinking brain cell. Only what SAF would do lmao

And SAF wasn't even a tactician like that lol, mainly stellar motivator, man management know how and a fearless leader. Instilling values and will to win in his players.

He didn't have a tactical blue print to instill to his former players (tho he got interesting and experimental in his final seasons), why these knobheads fail hard, they can't copy his larger then life type inspiring leadership skills. While likes of Deschamps, Conte, Zidane and so on got a pretty clear tactical blue print and impressions from working under Lippi (and other coaches).

Yep. Fergie is/was the classical British manager in that sense. Was all about supreme man-management, knew exactly when to go full on hairdryer treatment or put an arm around a player, could rally his troops when needed and was superb in manipulating the media and creating an us against the world mentality. He was also brilliant at knowing when it was the right time to phase out certain players and usher in a new winning cycle when the time was right.

Fergie mainly delegated a lot his duties to assistants and people who he really trusted. Carlos Queiroz was the guy who actually came up with the tactics and ran most of the sessions in Fergies more successful seasons in the mid to late 00s.

Steve Bruce gone and no way Conte or Zidane comes in, I hope they get some mediocre manager and are subsequently relegated.

I can see some random foreign manager with PL experience. The other option is to go with a name like Pirlo to see if it helps enticing players.

Yeah, interesting to see how many of Lippi’s players went on to become managers, but how few of Fergie’s did.

So basically a Villas-Boas or a Lampard.
Turns out it is Paulo Fonseca.

Shame about the dogs abuse handed out to Steve Bruce during his spell. He's from Newcastle and this was his dream job, but they didn't give him an inch. Fact is Newcastle in 12th and 13th the past two seasons is right for the level of their squad, and on paper this season they are between 3rd and 5th worst in the league on talent. But yeah, blame old cabbage head. Best fans in the world.

He won something like 7 out of the last 40 games! Of course he's getting abused by hardcore fans and eventually sacked regardless of the club potential. Also, managing to reach 1000 games with no minor success is quite pathetic. If any, they honored him by letting him manage his 1000th game and gave him a fat 8m paycheck.

New owners appointing a new manager is just normal.
