I noticed something telling before the game where the Southampton manager said something along the lines of "thank god we already have 33 points", or whatever their points total is, as if to say because they have players missing they were not expected to pick up many points in the next games.

What a pathetic mentality, no wonder they keep getting bent over. Obviously two red cards doesn't help but the players will treat that game as one they know they are losing and do random things, which is exactly what happened.
