Liverpool fans haven’t reached the level of douchebaggery ManUtd fans did back in the day, but its only a matter of time i think.

Weirdly enough, Chelsea and City might have the most tolerable fans. The Arsenal fans might be the most hilarious ones of the lot. Some of those post match interviews during the Wenger days were epic.

Yeah broken leg. Really bad incident.

Son got sent off but the ref made a mistake there, you can't give a red because his initial foul (yellow worthy) ended up with Gomes catching his leg in the turf and then getting hit by Aurier. Son was distraught, and the ref is making a judgement by the outcome of his foul.

Best of luck to André Gomes.

It’s probably best for Son not to play the rest of the match though. He was so distraught that he could’ve done more damage. But ref really needs to answer many questions.

Would've been hard for Son to continue anyways. Dude was in tears after he saw Gomes' leg.

Yeah that's true.

The Premier League gave the response:
"The red card was for endangering the safety of a player, which was caused by the initial challenge".

That's absolute rubbish. It's a retrospective punishment, nothing else. If the statement was true you might as well make football a non-contact sport, or restrict players to light jogging as a maximum speed. Doesn't work. Any other situation it's a yellow card (which the ref has in his hand), player falls over and gets up.

Has to be said though, these things tend to happen more in the PL because of the speed of the game.
