Not every offside gave advantages to attacker, in far right or left side the distance of attacker to goals are longer than center back that stand inside penalty box even if they stand in parrallel line

I think the better rule is penalty area should be bigger and in half circle shape (the length to the penalty line is same all the way from center of goal post. No offside rules outside penalty area, because no advantage if the ball played outside penalty area. And offside is count by length of players standing vs center of goal inside penalty area

Well that’s clearly unworkable. How’s a linesman to work out the distance each player is to goal.

Or do we use VAR every two minutes? Not to mention it would be impossible at lower leagues and amateur level.

Also, there is an advantage to being offside a long way from goal if defenders are pushed up to compact midfield space.

Carabao Cup is just a waste of time and resources.
It used to be that at least it was a day out at Wembley if you made the final. But given that Wembley is down the road, we’ve played the best part of 1.5 yrs there as a temporary home stadium and that national stadium is now much much worse than our new home. Well, the Carabao Cup doesn’t even have that ‘day out’ factor going for it anymore.

It’s a chance to blood youngsters at best. And, IMHO, either win it with the youngsters or get out early. In that sense it’s a shame as I would have liked to see some of our Academy players against PL opposition in the next round, but hey.

I’ll be pissed at being trolled when we exit CL. But couldn’t care less about this thing.

Yes but they won other things... they had continued success. You have to start from somewhere.
Forest didn’t. It was pretty much overnight.

And Birmingham and Swansea really kicked on after winning the League Cup didn’t they?

I just don’t get why you hold to this view that winning the League Cup somehow propels a club to further greatness. The evidence doesn’t support this.

Unless you’re saying it’s a psychology thing particular to some clubs and not others. But I’m guessing you’re neither a psychologist nor a professional footballer. So forgive me if I don’t take your POV seriously, as this isn’t insight. It’s just more platitudes. Stick to Batman.
