Meh, Sanchez will be a decider when United is struggling to win against mid table EPL teams but even he won't be enough to drag them over the line when they actually come up against a top side in the champions league.

Signing Sanchez is a great move for them as it probably cements second place in the league, especially at a time when their offense is really struggling to play above average, but nah they aren't a CL contender.

Did Sanchez reject us back in the day or we couldnt pay his price? I know his salary is also big.

Going to Arsenal was always going to be waste of time apart from epl money.

He’s not a CL proven winner but he’s a word class attacking player. Worse teams have won the CL tho.
Lets see who goes out first round. Think Pool was the last "worst" winner.

The 2012 Chelsea and 2007 Milan was case of the core veteran players final push(& prime Kaka). Not worse teams imo.

Mourinho plays some terrible football these days.

Mou’s Porto and Inter weren’t what I’d call good teams. Way better defenses but their play was pretty crappy.

Inter was very well organized.

Beat Chelsea away. Trashed Barca at san siro. Largely outplayed Bayern in the final.

Milito and Sneijder were fantastic that season. Then add CL proven players like Eto to the mix.

Which brings me on to Zlatan who never reached a final let alone win it. Can make comparisons with Alexis.

Porto was one of those years. Wont happen for a long time. I mean Porto v Monaco final. It was a very different time. Now there are too many rich clubs in europe.

Draw was enough to advance. And we were at home. :sergio:Ferrara.

Same here. This was the beginning of a collapse that wouldnt stop until Conte took over.
What do you call the demotion then?

Come to think of it we been Bayern bitches since Capello left.

Ferrara 1:4
Conte 0:2 ; 0:2
Evra 2:4

Kind of makes me want to face Bayern IF we advance. Or not? :shifty:

This is the year we have to win for Buffon, so honestly I want a Madrid 2016 esque run where we draw Europa level opponents along de way. Next year we can get revenge on Bayern.

Never really understood the hype around Sanchez.

Eto'o was a beast, and so was Maicon.

Bayern fielding a guy like Van Buyten in a CL final though  @BayernFan
 He single handedly gifted the title to Chelsea.
