I remember when Pep got sick of getting roflstomped on the counter by Dortmund, so he changed tactics and played a 5221-ish formation (with a really deep defensive line) against Klopp and completely neutralized them.

Dortmund players had NO clue what to do and Kloppo watched for 90 minutes straight, doing absolutely nothing to adapt. nothing.

Don't know if EPL players get the notion of sitting back with a deep defensive line tho

I gotta say, Klopp seems pretty clueless when it comes to changing tactics to adopt to a particular situation. Last night was another example. He did great in the first half and got a comfy lead. But then in the second, he decided to sit on his ass and do nothing (except for a coupla counters). So Chelsea dominated like crazy and the game was up for grabs for them. Had Conte not had proceeded with his usual stubbornness and late,late subs, I'm pretty sure they could've overturned the score.

Klopp is a one trick pony and although the trick works very well a smart coach will have the upper hand over him.

Guardiola is really a fantastic coach, and it's not because they are up 2 nil early in the game, but how quickly he makes his team fully buy into the ideas he has for them. Very organized and move in complete synch defensively and offensively.

This is the same players (except few exceptions) who looked utterly hopeless and out of ideas last season because they weren't getting any direction.
