Great quote indeed Paul. However, it has little to do with this discussion.
Those who posted in this thread with the "who cares" attitude keep returning here because of the supposed "abuse" they have received. This abuse, in Montero's opinion, was my statement that their opinion on the matter is worthless because they said it themselves: they did not care about the Pope and consider him no more than "another bloke," as naive as it sounds (excuse me, it is).
If they really do not care about the subject, why are they up in arms with people saying their opinion on this respective subject is worthless? And I stress ONLY this subject. They are offended even though they do not even care about the main subject matter......or do they? Maybe they do care enough, as Greg stated, to make back-handed remarks while others are obviously upset over the event.
If they truely did not care they would bypass this thread and move on to the next. But no, they had to let out their final shots; not because they care about the Pope, obviously, but other reasons that are far too obvious to discuss.
And I bet you if I would have made my way into the two dedication threads of the Islamic leaders, making such posts as "he's just another bloke," I would have been castigated, and rightfully so. Same thing with Zlatan's favorite communist leader. Only the most sorry individuals find pleasure during someone else's sorrow.
