Anyone notice how all four teams last night all played with one striker?
Portugal- fine, they've got goal-scoring capable midfielders...and defenders for that matter as we saw last night!
But Czech Rep. and Turkey really needed support forwards/strikers to play along with Koller and Nihat, respectively. Both of them would easily get crowded out.
The Swiss were doing fine, Alex Frei had a couple good chances, but wasn't fed enough. Yakin was useless afterwards, and even when he did get the clear header, it was well off target.
Regarding Switzerland, I think they have three key players now in Barnetta, Inler, and Behrami. Vonlanthen too. These guys can change the game for them, and provide some form of creativity for the team. I really wish to see them progress, as I actually like this host nation.
