Just watched the SOCOM 4 trailer, I like the OTS view it has, it's close to being FPS style, which is what I prefer.

Wrong, I've played two 360's, one of them an Elite, which both BUSTED a month into playing them online.

I like the PS3 a lot more online because I don't have to pay for online service, like that nickel and dime travesty Microsoft does.

I believe the OS for the PS3, and saved games are stored on the hard drive. Also, some games need to install files onto the PS3 to be able to play the game.

It's just how consoles are made right now. Xbox 360 has a HDD too.

I can confirm all that. Though individual game updates are needed for online play and you can play offline without most of them.
