Overall 2014 was a bad year for PS4, GT 6 was better than delayclub.
AC Rogue was better than AC Unity.
The most promising games were delayed for next year, the PSN+ indie games were mostly total crap, worse than their tablet equivalents.
Watchdogs was nerfed so it can be on par with the xbone version and never delivered its promising next gen experience.
Only shadow of mordor and PES 2015 were decent, but not so much better than their xbox 360 version...

Hopefully next year, MGS 5, Bloodborne, Witcher 3, Batman, Mortal Kombat X, The Division and Uncharted 4 will help it make a better gaming year.
And the PSN will start strong with infamous and the swapper!

Weren't Sony supposed to be compensating online users for the outages over Christmas?
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2015/01/01/a-holiday-thank-you/
Hi Everyone,
Happy New Year! Since access to PlayStation Network was impacted during the holidays, we wanted to show our appreciation for your patience by offering all PlayStation Plus members that had an active membership or free trial on December 25th a membership extension of five days. The extension will be automatically applied, so no action is necessary to receive the extension. We will post additional information here on PlayStation.Blog when the extension becomes available. If your membership or trial ends before the extension is available, you will receive five days of Plus to enjoy once the extension becomes available (we will notify you when).
In addition, sometime this month we will announce that for a limited time, we will be offering a 10 percent discount code good for a one-time discount off a total cart purchase in the PlayStation Store as a thank you to all PSN members.
This discount can be used toward content available on PS Store including blockbuster new releases, award winning indie games, game add-ons and season passes, and an enormous selection of TV and Movies.
In case you missed it, click here to read about all the great games included in the January 2015 PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection lineup.
Thanks again to all our loyal PlayStation fans and welcome to our newest console owners. Wishing you all a very happy holiday.

As expected PSNow now has a subscription program like Netflix, except I thought it was a bit on the expensive side. $10 to $15 bucks monthly would sound more right. Especially for people who 1. had a ps3 and/or 2. Has a PSPlus membership.

You’ll be able to choose from two subscription plans: one month for $19.99, or a three-month package for $44.99 (about $15 per month). The subscription provides access to a large and diverse catalog of PS3 games, ranging from action to RPG and everything in-between.

I don't think it is that egregious, to be honest. Especially considering that you can stream Playstation now through any Sony device, be it TV, PS3, PS4, Vita, Smartphone. Also keeping in mind that eventually they will be bringing PS2 and Vita games over the network, I don't think the price is that bad

When you put it like that :D

Thing is I already pay for Gamefly and there's only a handful of PS3 games that interest me and they're not even in it yet.

Well, I don't have Gamefly, but for someone like me who didn't play a bunch of PS3 games since the PS4 came out, I am not against the idea, nor the price. I just hope they start bringing some PS2 games on board as well, as there are literally hundreds of titles that I didn't get to play.

Unlike Gamefly, you can play whatever game is available, for as long as you want. They just don't have any of the new titles, which I guess would be what Gamefly is for.

Well, yes. Gamefly is more like redbox, you rent one or two games at a time. Don't get me wrong, the idea is great.

I didn't play any PS3 game at all as i didn't have one but there's only so many exclusives that interest me as i stated, if they add them then maybe i might consider signing up for a month.

But regarding the price i think it'd look much more accessible and interesting if they had an annual set price around 50$ and 60$ bucks like PSplus. Now that's the kind of really good deal i was looking for.

Tell me King of Kings when will it depreciate to around 3hunna?
I have no idea. If I had to take a guess, the next price drop will be in the 50.00 range, and that is only if Sony is starting to lose market share in this generation.

You won't see $300.00 in my opinion until late 2016, at the earliest.
