But you'll take it anyway :D Actually you're a good person to ask - how is the availability of pitches in México? I'll be in Metepec near Toluca. Obviously gonna be taking my boots with me. There is a Liga MX team in Toluca and a 4th tier team in Metepec so I'm presuming there will be space to play games of 5s or whatever. Is it generally quite widespread?

Got my last game on Wednesday for my 11s team. Nearly a year ago we started playing, it's been a hell of a lot of fun and I aim to win the game with a clean sheet as usual (I mean that's the usual aim, that is definitely not a usual outcome :D)
There are pitches everywhere. Mexico is truly a football nation. Only thing that differs is the quality. The pitch we play on is artificial, but solid. There are some really bad pitches, rocks and dirt and there a some pristine pitches. It's all about making friends with the guys that play on the good ones. If you're teaching at a Uni, then it shouldn't be too difficult to find something and find guys to play with.

Teaching at a language school mostly working with foreigners. I'm sure I'll be able to find some games. I'm used to playing on artificial pitches so I'll source the good ones which are nearby. Thanks for the info

Managed to join a 7s team, got my first game on Sunday. Turns out their CB is actually having an operation on his knee so I should slot right in. I've not really done any exercise at this altitude, though. I know I should take it kind of easy but I also know I'll probably struggle to do that, so I'm just gonna load up on carbs and try and not go nuts during the game.

So I'm gonna stop being a lazy fuck, my efforts of quitting cigarettes have been pretty good, replaced them with small spliffs.

So now step 2, running. Then I'll be joining the city's men's league :weee:

Played my first 11v11 game of this season, started out pretty badly, 0-3 down really early, we subbed in one of our good players and he scored rather quickly, at 1-3 I thought we still had a chance. We ended up losing 17-1.
    I shit you not, 17 fucking 1.
Doubt the coach is going to put ol Mr Chocolate at CB for a good while, I made Ogbonna look like fucking Nesta.

Lol, dont get offended but your team must be really shitty to lose game with a result like that. In my environment of amateur football, if two different level teams face each other max result is 8-0. But 17-1 is one way traffic, literally.

I had 11 go by a few weeks ago in a 7 v 7 league. We only had the minimum (4 players) and usually teams play 5 v 4 with more subs, but this team is a bunch of cunts and played us 7 v 4.

Worst part is for a while it was close. We were tied 4 - 4 before they figured out they could just pass around me instead of going for highlight goals.

Ended up losing 11 - 6, but we had a blast.

My team is super laid back, we spent the last 4 minutes or so playing keep away, making the other team so mad.

I am playing with a team now in a league for 7+1 (Division C) organized by the federation. Many ex players and NT legends are part of this, we play once in a week, sometimes two.

We are currently 9th in the league, there are 14 teams. We are having a Milan season.
