Maybe it can be a gentle gesture from our side to sell out star players so they can still play in the major league where they belong? Maybe it would be more wrong from our side to keep them, to hinder them from developing and from getting the fame they deserve?

Real Madrid target Gianluca Zambrotta claims he also has an offer from his suitors' arch-rivals Barcelona.

The Italian World Cup winner has been earmarked as a new signing for Fabio Capello, who also wants Zambrotta's Juventus team-mates Fabio Cannavaro and Emerson.

With Juventus awaiting the outcome of the match-fixing scandal, Zambrotta's future is linked to the fate of the Serie A champions.

The full back admits he will not make a decision on whether to leave the Turin giants until an announcement on any Juve punishment.

He admits to receiving an offer from Barcelona and also confirmed he is aware of the interest from Real and Milan.

"My future depends on what happens to my present team Juventus," Zambrotta told Sport.

"Once that has been solved, only then will I take a decision.

"What I can say at the moment is that I have absolutely not decided anything about anything.

"I have an offer to play in Barcelona and there is interest from Real Madrid.

"In my country there are also teams that have been in contact with my representative, among them Milan."

i seen a newspaper article, i think it was the daily mirror, not exactly proof but it suggested that a deal was in place for a loan deal for Cannavaro and Zambrotta.

it kinda makes sense that our best players are exposed to top flight football pending the teams return.

Buffon, Zambrotta, Cannavaro, Del Piero, Camoranesi and Ciro Ferrara have visited Pessotto today.
Italian pride :eyebrows: :toast:
And Ferrara even hope for Pessotto's return to help him out in the youth sector

I think the only players that will stay are the ones that have said so (del piero and nedved). The ones that said they will wait until the verdict are as good as gone.

No not sure but me, personnaly as a great fan of Juve If I were him would leave. so why he wouldn't leave after a great WC. There's no great player to play in B for 2 seasons. and I think Nedved will retire
