Looks like Lippi doesnt think Roma is that bad right now, as he called up their three main strikers for saturday's game against Scotland

He didnt call Vieri nor Del Piero - maybe because of the CL ?
Zambrotta isnt on the list as he is suspended

Portieri: BUFFON (Juventus), DE SANCTIS (Udinese), ROMA (Monaco);

Difensori: BARZAGLI (Palermo), BONERA (Parma), CANNAVARO (Juventus), CHIELLINI (Fiorentina),
GROSSO (Palermo), MATERAZZI (Inter), NESTA (Milan), ZACCARDO (Palermo);

Centrocampisti: BARONE (Palermo), BLASI (Juventus), CAMORANESI (Juventus), DE ROSSI (Roma),
GATTUSO (Milan), PIRLO (Milan);

Attaccanti: CASSANO (Roma), ESPOSITO (Cagliari), GILARDINO (Parma) , MONTELLA (Roma), TONI
(Palermo), TOTTI (Roma).

Ya, the CL thing is crap.

Im mad that Del wasnt chosen by Lippi, but hey, hes getting older. I think he can still play, but oh well, just wasnt given the nod this time, along with Vieri.

At least Del is getting back into form for Juve, and Capello sees this.

Stupid Totti should be dropped. hate the guy

Esposito won't be able to keep his spot for much longer if Del Piero continues to play the way he has over the last three or four weeks. If I was Lippi my six forwards would be Totti, Cassano, Del Piero, Montella, Gilardino and Toni/Vieri. I might give Di Michele a chance in a friendly or something.

Lippi wants new blood in the Azzurri, and I don't blame him for keeping the oldies out of the squad. Actually it's a lot better for Juventus that Del Piero can focus on playing our games, not wasting time preparing for the NT.

Besides, Esposito has been very good this season. You guys must give him credit for that.

Disagree...

This is a WC qualifier, and its no time to experiment with "new blood"

DP is on form, and brings more to the table than an Esposito, and even Luca Toni, right now
