The point is that I don't think Juve would appear to be over stocked with quality CBs compared to the clubs they have ambitions of beating, if they signed Mexes.

Definitely. I'd like to think he could be converted into some sort of midfielder.

He could play as a sweeper if anyone still used them.

I agree, obviously. I don't see how we could be over stocked on quality at this point, it would be a miracle to have Chiellini/Bonucci/Mexes/Legrottaglie to choose from since last season.

No idea.

He would appear, on the face of it, to be far more suited to playing in front of the defence, where he could use his passing range but not have defensive inadequacies exposed so much.
