between Crisito and Nocerino as a starter...
which one that you guys think would capable of being a first team player?..
between the two of them...
I mean.. fabregas is only what?
and he is already a first team player for Arsena right?
so why not give our youngster some chances..

I think Nocerino will be a more important player for us.

pepe and milito is a lot of money to spend. try a cheaper younger promising defender instead of one of them.
Pepe is only 24 and cant be more promissing, you would rather take a risk with some 19-year old player from Brazilian league??? :disagree:

I guess it would depend on how much they both cost.

Total cost would be €40m+ Saragossa are still holding out for €25m!! Juve not prepared to go above €19m for GM. Unless we throw in Miccoli. Pepe reportely costing us €5m and Miccoli.

Both players will not arrive. That's for sure. It will be one of them with Fabio Cannavaro.

For what it's worth, my choice would be Pepe. The deal involving Miccoli can now be made now that DT is staying.

If Camoranesi goes, then we have more buying power, if he stays we are buggered. It now looks like he is staying.

The waiting is killing me................................

Hey amigos, I'm a Porto fan and season ticket holder and thought I'd say something about the possibility of Pepe joining Juve. First of all, let me just tell you that he's one of the best cb's I've ever seen play, and I've seen alot of good play at the Estádio do Dragão (F.Couto, J.Costa, R.Carvalho, J.Andrade, to name a few). The guy has a combination of skills very rare in a CB. Extremely fast, excellent in the air, scores goals, etc. Very few weak points! If it were up to me I would rather have him than Ricardo Carvalho back, and I think we know how good he is! I wouldn't want to see him sold even for 30 million! 5 million + Miccoli? lol lol lol If that was the asking price, he'd already be gone! Juve has offered 15 million plus Miccoli and it was rejected! Unless they offer about 20, he's not going anywhere! If Juve gets him, you fans will not be dissapointed believe me!

First of all... it is WAY harder for a young player to play in Serie A than in any other league. The Serie A rewards tactical excellence, technique and experience over style, speed and enthusiam. Starting a 21 year old in Criscito could lead to huge problems. I would suggest working him into the lineup against certain opponents and hoping by the time he is 23-24 he can be the main piece of our back four.

As for Nocerino. The guy is ready right now. He is a bit older, but is already incredibly smart and very successful at winning balls. He is in a slightly more forgiving position than Criscito, and is a bit more advanced than him. Personally, I hope Nocerino is given the nod to start for Juventus because I totally think he is ready.

Every youngster will get a chance sooner or later, but they have to keep working in practice and performing well at all times while maintaining a good attitude. The fact is most young players (like thier loyal fans) think they are ready too soon and either make the mistake of mouthing off and/or moving to a club just to get playing time and underachieving because of the unrealistic opinion they have of themselves.

For Criscito and Nocerino, I hope they both keep their heads on straight and understand that it is ok to blossom at 27 years old in Serie A, and that they don't have to play when they are 21 and 22.

To answer your question. Nocerino IMO is ready to start. I even think he has better ability than Zanetti, but Zanetti does possess more experience which is more valuable. Criscito will need some time to develop and hopefully we will sign a player than can mentor him as well. Either way with Criscito, Nocerino and Giovinco. The future looks bright.

What if I don't want my CB to score goals. I think I would have prefered if you mentioned his ability to cover, lead a defensive line, understanding of tactics of the game, big game clutchness. That is what a CB needs. Not Speed and goal scoring ability. I know he is very talented, but in the CL games he looked exploited. My only hope is that he was running around like he was becuase of the lack of any good defensive partners on his squad. And not because he is a typical, over-aggressive modern day defender.

We need Camoranesi. Don't let it kill you. Juventus have the money to buy two WC CB's. The fact is, they are trying to get in for as cheap as possible. They slowly up the ante little by little. It is both good and bad, because we may lose out on someone like Milito. I am not against Pepe, but if we sign him I would like to get a smart player next to him. Milito, Barzagli and especially Cannavarro would be perfect.

Cheers for the info.

Doubt we woud be willing to spend that if we get Milito.

I belive we should use miccoli to take Barzagli From Palermo and leave pepe alone...
Barzagli is italian, and proved he's the next leader of itay's Defence.
Miccoli+5-10 mil euro and we have Barzagli instead of offering crazy amounts of money on pepe.
