Why do Juventus always go for cheaper options when signing players? Apart from Krasic and Bonnucci this season we have hardly splashed the cash. I know we're not the richest club in the world but you can't tell me that our situation is that dire that we've had to bring in six players all on loan.

Could you honestly imagine clubs like Manchester United and Real Madrid having six loan players in their teams? That's the standard we need to aim for and it's just bizarre in my book. This whole 'lets get the cheaper option' thing isn't new for this season either we've done it for years. Sometimes it works but usually with us it doesn't and I don't understand why we continue do it because we really can't be that broke!?

If secco wasted a huge amount of cash during his time here, why would the BOD deprive Marotta from money in his first season?!

    So what's the question here?
Basically why for some years now have we always signed cheap players when we should have a good amount of money still? Also why have we signed six loan players this year because I cannot believe our finances are really that bad. Having that many loan players makes us look a bit weak I feel and I couldn't imagine clubs like Manchester United and Real Madrid (which is the standard we should be aiming for) having that many.

I wouldn't say cheap, it's just that Marotta is not spending wisely IMO and this goes to the previous board as-well. We were unprofessional this summer with so many transfers, letting David go and keep both Iaquinta and Amauri where we could have netted some decent cash from them. Also the loaned players like you mentioned and many other reasons.

Like Moggi said, we never needed a revolution, just few world class players and decent Full backs and we are set. Instead we did a revolution and brought in over 12 players in less than a year.

For me we sell ourselves short for example: Linked with Xabi Alonso, sign Christian Poulsen who was cheaper to sign.

It's happened a few others times as well and I'm sick of Juve doing that and the fact we don't sign superstar players any more, all the links with Fabiano I just laugh off because I know theres no way we're going to sign him. In fact IF we even do get a stirker I know it would be someone of a much lower standard. That's also another point that this striker situation is pathetic from the board, there's also no way a club like Manchester United or Real Madrid if they had such a striker shortage would dither around as much as we have in signing a replacement.
