Mexes: Nedved Is A Great Player

Roma defender Philippe Mexes admits that Pavel Nedved is a great player but says that he does not see eye to eye with the Czech star.

Mexes and Nedved will meet on Sunday as Juventus travel to Rome for the much anticipated Serie A clash.

“It is true that we do not get on, there is no point denying it,” said Mexes. “However he remains a great football player and we should respect him for that. His behaviour and antics on the pitch? It is better to forget about that.”

Mexes also had words of praise for the Juventus squad as a whole but stressed that the Giallorossi are not scared by the Bianconeri.

“Juventus are a great team, but we have no fear,” said Mexes. “We are in great form at the moment and we are strong and ready to give it our all on Sunday.”
