Some bad expensive free signings have put present management in a bad position. To me it’s common sense other teammates don’t give a crap that Juve got the likes of Rab and Ram for free. They see these guys high salary and say WTF.

He was great first year in Serie A and had some great games in CL, some bad ones and absolutely dreadful in the final

Second year mostly good in Serie A, mostly bad in CL (missed two absolute sitters in the RM tie) and was one of the reasons we choked the advantage we had in Serie A (2 goals in 14 games IIRC towards the end), but redeemed himself with the winning goal vs Inter.

Overall for what we paid and how quickly he declined it was a bad deal no doubt

Nowhere near immense. Fantastic in first Serie A season, but a 90m striker cannot go 14 games with 2 goals only, especially in key part of the season. Sure, he scored the Inter winner but we're never in that position if he doesn't shit the bed before that.

In UCL except the Monaco game away and Tottenham tie he was pretty bad.

I agree he made big contributions in Serie A, but also he was really bad in CL for the most part and we got two useful years out of him. He's 34 years old ffs and playing in MLS. Dreadful signing overall considering that's when our midfield demise started for the benefit of an overpaid choker.
