Still don't like the idea of getting rid of him. His the only real world class finisher behind CR7.

Yes Morata and Chiesa have stepped up, both are having a great season, but neither has a history of being particularly prolific. I'm not convinced that you can count on either for that kind of goalscoring and Ronaldo turns what next season? 38? Midfielders here aren't scoring them either.

Dybala also has the ability to win tight games on his own, create goals without much in the way of service. Maybe he hasn't delivered that consistently in Europe but he has proven that in Serie A.

You take out either Ronaldo or Dybala and there's not many in goals in this team.

What attacking player are we going to get for 55mil better than Dybala? Nobody.

Anyone willing to offload dybala for 55m is fucking stupid. Besides ronaldo...dybala is the only other player capable of winning games off his own boot. We have no other. We lose dybala this summer...ronaldo next summer...and we replace these players with who? Reminds me of our great midfield...Vidal one day..pogba the next and we brought in??? No one.

But hey..55m will get us locatelli only..or maybe aouar only.

55m gets us Chiesa. And yes, we should keep him but he will still remain a huge conundrum. Where will he freaking play in this team?

Guys you still don't get it?
Dybala wanna leave for free.
That 12-15m wages is a bullshit claim that he knew we'll never satisfy.
Next year gonna be his last year of contract so either we get screwed renewing his contract fully knowing none will ever buy him and we'll be forced to pay him 12-15m till he is 32yrs old or let him leave for free and he'll get prolly 10-12m he wants somewhere.

@IlCapitano all competitions: games > goals > assists

Dybala:
15/16 - 46 > 23 > 7 - solid team, lost to excellent Bayern
16/17 - 48 > 19 > 8 - solid team, lost to excellent Madrid in final
17/18 - 46 > 26 > 7 - solid team, unlucky exit to Madrid
18/19 - 42 > 10 > 2 - Allegri position issue, dumped by Ajax
19/20 - 46 > 17 > 14 - Sarribol season, woeful football and Lyon exit
20/21 - 16 > 3 > 2 - COVID and injury

Morata:
20/21 - 33 > 16 > 11

Ronaldo:
18/19 - 43 > 28 > 11
19/20 - 46 > 37 > 7
20/21 - 33 > 30 > 4

Dybala only had one bad season in 18/19 and this season due to COVID (had a major effect on him) and injury. He played well during Allegri's best seasons and was MVP during last season's messy transition to Sarribol. Ronaldo has been excellent and Morata great so far but Dybala isn't as shite as people make out, add a little context and then tell me if someone like Aouar that people are lusting over will suddenly make us CL contenders. If Dybala were fit we'd be top of the league now despite Pirlo.
So exactly what I said, he has been below average or injured for almost 3 seasons now. Thanks for proving my point.

it's okay to bash players to a certain degree, but let's not rewrite history mate. dybala scored or assisted or earned a penalty on 19 occasions between the 5th and 30th round of the last league season. during that period, his longest brake without a decisive move was two league games. it's not a short flash, he was decisive for the majority of last season.
Nah.

Beginning of February last season Ronaldo had 20 something goals, all the others below including Dybala and Higuain barely combined for his tally.

Dybala scored 6 of his 11 goals in first 7 games post COVID restart last season. Then nothing again in the final 8. So his remaining 5 goals were scored in 23 games before COVID. 5G 7A in 23 games, decent for your average Serie A player, hardly decisive and crucial for us.

He also did not have 14 assists, counting FKs and PKs won as an assist is crazy. Penalties and FKs are also not 'won', they are mistakes from opposing players. If we are praising him for 'winning' penalties why do people blame our players when they concede a PK? Opposing player 'won' it.

He had 8 ast in total on the season.

Anyone willing to walk away from 55m for a player (after 2 years of empty stadiums) that's been injured all season, in the last year of his contract that could walk for free in another year that doesn't want to agree terms with the club that's already going to pay him more is fucking stupid.
