point of view: you a business owner.

Situation: you have an employee and u ask him not to fuck up a task, only to go and fuck up and then try and fix it and does so well only to still end up failing... would you have same patience.? especially when he does it 3 times in 4 years?

I ask cuz juve is still a business. and allegri is was an employee who failed in his tasks.

side note: how come dybala we are not allowed to have excuses, but darlig allegri is afforded tons of excuses for failing? hmmm @Post Ironic @Hydde @Osman

Again, you are asking the wrong guy.

Im not one of the allegri cultist who are dozens here. When he was fired, he already lost the team and that was on him. People here say he didnt received the players he asked, but all i saw was a coach who was very happy by deploying matuidi and khedira for like 3 seasons straight when the chance presented. Remember when matuidi arrived? the guy had like 2 days with the team and was a starter right away in the next game. yes he was an Allegri Favourite.

IM pretty sure the management saw this weakness on him and exploited it, by just buying scraps for the midfield in the mercatos, why? Because allegri himself was ok with it in the first place. He was kind of a yesman who liked to "work with the personnel the management gave to him". When the shit hit the fan and he was cornered by his shitty results....then he went all out and asked for a renovation, too little too late and he got fired.

Allegri himself is to blame for his fall and deserved the boot. But this is unpopular opinion around this forums.

Having said that, that is just one part of the blame... because the other part was indeed the board for not giving allegri great midfielders and abusing his yesman position, just buying freebies and scrap.

One last line to ease the allegri cultists: Im pretty sure that if Allegri picked this current team since the beggining of this season.. we would be first in the table.

So only coaches that cruise to champions league titles are good coaches now? Please tell me where to find this mystery creature so we can pick one up.

Nitpicking about losses in ties we EVENTUALLY turned around is silly. Fact of the matter is in 4/5 years Allegri won the double and only lost against teams that were clearly superior to us. And even against Ajax we were having many injuries and he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

how is cringe? saying something is cringe doesn't make it cringe.

allegri for 2016 got outplayed by bayern at home.

allegri for 2017 got wrecked in final

allegri for 2018 got wrecked by by real madrid at home. got schooled by tottenham at home.

allegri at 2019 got schooled by atletico away and ajax at home. do you disagree with the results? are you disputing the losses?

is it too much to ask your club NOT to have to attempt comebacks in every game? or is allegri allowed excuses?

the only inferior squad he went out against was ajax, and that happened in a frame of 5 long seasons

this happens to top coaches more often than you might think. the only one with a similar consistency recently is simeone: he only bent the knee to teams having cr in the knockouts until last season. you can shit on allegri for his last half of season as much as you can, but discrediting his first 4,5 years is very hard to explain

The first three years of Allegri were magic, each season we'd start slow, gain our form exactly at the right moment and finish strooong. Annoying at times how much we'd cruise through games, but pretty soon you catch up to it and know that after the winter break good stuff is about to happen. 4th and 5th season were big disappointments compared to that, we still were able to grind out results with our WC defense and great finishers upfront, but we hardly ever got out of 2nd gear, you wait and wait all season and the good footie never happens. :(

Of course Sarri's season was worse than Allegri's 4th and 5th seasons and Pirlo's season takes you back to Ferrara times lol

When leaving us in summer 2019 Allegri stated he wasn't looking for a sabbatical and is open to offers, only to claim two-three weeks later that he is taking a sabbatical. Prior to summer 2020 his mentor Galileo or something came out and revealed that Max wants to end the sabbatical and get back to coaching. Couple of months ago he said that he's looking for a return this summer either in Italy or England and that he'd be devastated to take the wrong offer and do badly after being out for so long.

We can't know for sure, but it looks like him being out of the game is due to lack of offers not because he's enjoying time off.

Well yes. Trap won us some European trophies and Lippi did too. Easy: they are legends, Allegri is not.

If we want to lift CL trophy: hire a non Italian coach.
