Seeing some of the arguments here I understand and sympathize with the “fan boys”.

Cut his hair? What the fuck does that have to do with anything? Also his worst period? He only played TWO matches!

I’m all for trying someone new next season but not because of his performances this season, that would ridiculous! The guy was injured and isn’t even fully fit. But because I don’t see him reaching his initial potential and he might have hit the peak here already. And also because 5 years later he’s still a reason for debates about his positioning and what he can or can’t offer to the team.

Doesn't fit the inverted tactic we've been playing since Kiev game.

It's difficult with him and the RM (from 442 defensive shape) that cuts in as RAM when we have the ball (3241). They get in each other's way.

Have to invert the tactic back where the LM cuts in - but that means Cuadra or Frab as LB until AS returns, and Cuadra is doing well at RB.

And with either version, hard for Dyb and Kulu to coexist.

Tldr, Dybala is a tactical headache again this season.

There's only one solution. I wonder if Pirlo will change his tactic.

Well del Piero would have the same positioning problem if he plays football today isn’t it. Dybala is a technically gifted and smart player. But his lack of strength, and lack of blistering pace, means he can’t take up any of the conventional positions in attack in today’s football.

This I blame it on our bloody fitness coach! Can’t we just shove him with protein shakes and strict lifting regimen to turn him into aguero/suarez/tevez type of player?

And to the idiots who wanna exchange him with griezman, please shut up. Griezman will post the same problem.

So we are dismissing the fact he won Serie A MVP award last season?! Under Sarri he played in the right position for him but he either needs to step up or get fit - Current Dybala is not good enough

Who would trade him for Griezzman? Griezmann is having the same mental problems in Barcelona and theres nothing left from the great griezmann of seasons ago. Pass.

Why is that? it seems you dont see whats going on with this player at all.

Lol, Nice conclusion. Just because i dont whine and cry in this thread every day ?

is he in shit form ? Yes

Is it bad for us ? Yes

Is his wage demands unreasonable ? Atm i would say so

Is he one of our most important players ? Yes

Am i willing to give him time to regain his form before going full meltdown mode and shit my pants like a baby? Yes

The Dybala case didnt happen overnight you know, this is going on since a good couple of seasons. Theres a reason we are discussing this.
Its not a case of "oh he has like 2 games without scoring and people went nuts", nope.

And this will not get solved when he inevitably scores his next goal and people start hyping him again.

Listen, i dont have anything against him, in fact i liked him so much, but he has problems that as our number 10 are worrying.

-Inconsistency (his good form is super patchy)
-Tactical headache (3 different coaches struggling to field him)
-tactical limitation (he just can play as Suppoert striker or False 9, and we dont use either)
-Tends to sulk in important games (bar like 2 CL games, he has failed to guide the team to better results)
-He is 27 years old and we are still discussing about his importance in the team, why is that?
-His attitude (often creating friction with coaches for whatever reason, name it subs, playtime etc)
-Renewal problems with his contract (the well known salary issue vs what he deserves)

After all this years, im starting to believe that we should really consider a sale, because for a player supposed to be our standard, he is struggling a lot. maybe is not worth the hassle to wait him to deliver anymore.

Well there definetly is overreacting. Just a quick look trough these last pages is a testament to that.

Now some of these points that you mentioned are valid points and i agree to some extent, but there is also two sides to every story:

- Is he alone at fault for the tactical headaches or is it more a structural thing and due to our play style?

- Incosistency happens to every player exept for freaks like Ronaldo. Dybala definetly has his ups and downs and i would agree it's fairly obvious when he is out of form and also very obvious when he is in form

- Attitude : he can be sulky but can also be great. He isnt a natural leader but i dont really feel like he is that terrible either. I also feel like this "shitkid" image is fueled a lot by the media. A lot of these stories being leaked seems dodgy at best.

- contract problems: when it comes to this, i agree. The contracts demands doesnt match his performance lately and is unreasonable.

To Conclude:

If we sell him , we wont sell him before summer 2021 (highly doubt such a big transfer would be made in the winter mercato )

Therefore i would rather think positive about the situation than looking at it all doom and gloom.

If he goes he goes. I like him but the squad is first, always

Until that time i wish him a great season and prefer to cheer at him instead of throwing shit at him

Can't stand this guy anymore, sell him in the winter.
If we sell him, will you leave the forum forever, permanently, perpetually, never to return, never to resurface? :boh: :donedeal:

Wrong. Stop being a fanboy, face the truth.
You're a troll and a biased hater. There is no objectivity in any of your posts.

What's wrong is your constant bashing of Dybala, whether he warrants it or not.

I can see us trading him for someone like Joao Felix, Atleti were interested in Dybala before and he likes that direction. Im pretty sure Paolo will still be a key player for us this season, but have doubts if we will be able to renew. Also sometimes i think its time to move on, he wont carry us to CL.
Joao Felix :howler:

Atletico can't offer Dybala the wages he wants, and boy oh boy, if you guys like complaining about Dybala and his consistency issues, you are in for a huge surprise with one of the world's most over-rated and over-priced talents.
