I don't know how accurate these are, but they were taken from an article published by Marca earlier this year.

Dybala should not be earning less than De Ligt, The Benign Bosnian, and Mr. Weight Watchers. His salary should be a fair reflection of his value and contributions to this team. He shouldn't be receiving fractionally more than a traitorous clown, a terminally injured mid, and a newbie.

Rabiot and Ramsey both benefit from new tax law and were both bosman signings.
Again, that's not his problem. The fucktards should have thought about the consequences when they agreed to pay Ramsey and Rabiot that sort of money. I know, for a fact, if two new guys come in, contribute way less, and get more money than I do at my workplace, I'd tell my boss to give me a raise or go fuck himself.

Ok, but 15 mil is overkill. And this is a 5 year contract. Include taxes and this means nearly 30 million per year - and 150 mil for the full contract. With the poor performance from the previous season he is not worth this contract. And overall he has been inconsistent throughout his career and this year he'll be 27 years old. His games/ goals ratio for the Argentina national team is also a red flag.

Why the fuck are you bringing Argentina into this? I only care about what he does for us. Argentina, as a team, are garbage. That's not on him alone. They're a team that lacks balance and suffers from terrible coaching.

15 is overkill, but 9 is pathetic. Like I said, settle for 12.

That is none of his concern. If you were far superior at your job, everyone knew it, and they bring in two inferior employees and pay them more because of a "tax break", you'd be cool with that?

Of course you wouldn't.
Some people are so dense it's unbelievable. It's not that difficult to comprehend, it really isn't.

New tax laws mean the cost to the club is less. It's not club's problem that there are new tax laws either.

He wants 15M though. I'd give him 10M plus bonuses, should be good enough
You're also ignoring something really important. By 2022, Ronaldo might not be here, thereby freeing up those 30+ million in wages. Also, by then, we should be generating more revenue, so who's to say we can't afford higher salaries :boh: You also have to factor in things like inflation, but I digress.

So I guess that you will be thrilled then if/when they swap him out for an inferior player in Isco and pay him a lot more than they would have to pay Dybala? Because that could very well happen.

Why start low when you are negotiating? there is nothing there that says he will ONLY settle for 15 million. Why put yourself at a negotiating disadvantage if you leave yourself no wiggle room?
Let's see about that when/if they find middle ground. Like I said I'd like him to stay but we should not overpay anymore players

We can always negotiate a new contract at that time. Right now it's not the moment for such a huge contract imo

So, one of the very few cornerstone players that we have at this club should not be paid because of the mistakes in contracts paid out to others?

Perhaps a 4 year contract for 10 mil + bonuses based on performances will be good. We can include a release clause of 150 mil if he believes that he is so good that someone would pay those money to have him.
But if he doesn't back down from wanting a 15 mil/year - I won't blame the management if they sell him.

He should get paid, just not overpaid
And I agree with that. I never once stated that we should overpay. But in no way should he accept that rumored offer, either.

I'm just going to say this. If you look at the football landscape, it is a lot easier to find an Isco than it is a Dybala. Im not saying it is easy, but certainly easier.
