The moment Bayern got their goal it was curtains for us, each time they went forward they looked like scoring so we lost control. The final against Madrid we were never in control, we would never win that type of game.

The match in Madrid where we went looking for extra time coming up to 0-3, that was our downfall and the moment was lost but a commendable effort. Our performance against Barcelona in the final was great but their team was superb.



Atletico did a Juve type of performance, it was a woeful performance by them and we were good. Spurs we should beat 9 out 10 times. In Turin when we played Ajax, the writing was on the wall that we could never overturn that result while Spurs with pure determination managed to knock them out.

We were dead tired at the end and extra time was a sure Bayern win. But you kindly forgot that the ref - wrongly - disallowed the 0-3 goal and under huge pressure it was still a late minute rookie mistake, from one of our most experienced players (Evra), that costed us the game.

Edit: The games against Madrid were similar. Allegri got the tactics wrong in the first games, but totally out managed his opponents in the second game. It was bad luck in Madrid. How can you blame Allegri here? Madrid fucking won the cup.

We were the inferior team both times, ffs. Against Madrid the team was clearly dead after the first half. But I Don’t get your logic. When was the last time Guardiola got his team to the final (since Barcelona) despite having one of the best finances, in the world, at every club he managed?

Only Zidane and Klopp have done better than Allegri. Even Klopp is debatable till he wins a league trophy with Liverpool.

Just came here to say that Chiellini is a boss and has been consistently a WC player for more then a decade, dude belongs in a very elite group of players in this generation and will go down as one of the best ever CBs to play the game. Pretty obvious the Bayern loss was a fantastic performance from our team. Even more so given that Marchisio and Dybala were out injured and Cuadrado and Khedira just back from injury and only had 60-70 minutes in their legs. Mandzukic also just back from injury and half-fit. Add to that we had a 3rd goal disallowed where Morata was at least a metre onside (most ridiculous offside call I’ve ever seen). And a massive brain fart from Evra the only reason they scored the equalizer.

Hard to call 4-4 against a great Pep-coached Bayern over 180 minutes, running out of gas and losing in extra time, a poor performance or something not to be proud of.

Better question is what times we were knocked out/ lost in the past 5 years we shouldn’t be proud of our performance. And only the Ajax loss last year and Cardiff final against Madrid come to mind. And given that we lost to an all-time great Madrid side in Cardiff after a fantastic run through the CL knockouts it’s hard not to be proud of that team as a Juve fan.

It's nothing against Allegri, in fact I think the guy is great and don't blame him for any of the losses. I don't know how we got from Dybala to this but you can be relentless and win these tough games with desire and determination like Spurs and Liverpool did last year. The other end of the spectrum is like when Chelsea won the CL with their never give up attitude and ridiculous last ditch defending but were able to press for those goals at crucial times. We don't do such things, we need heart more than anything. Against Bayern, we were 2 up then got eliminated from a strong position.
