He desperately needs a goal.
If he doesn't get on the score sheet after a few more appearances you can see how that would affect his confidence. But he hasn't played enough this season to be in a goal drought.

He's playing with confidence at the moment and making things happen. That's the main thing. No doubt he'll score a goal soon with a few more chances at no. 9.

Positive game from him yesterday no doubt, however, i’m really struggling to imagine him eventually consistently succeeding at a world class level in a CF/false9 role in the current formations layed out by Sarri, primarily due to his perceived lack of a right foot but honestly also because of his lack of physicality or incredible speed that could maybe counter some of his other weaknesses... which is sad, but lately he only has himself to blame for letting his head drop and seemingly not looking as or striking us as someone working hard enough to improve even further.

Positive aspect is that he is lethal when in form and when his left foot is accurate he only needs a moment/a shot and it’s a goal, but IMO his best positions were and always will be as SS or CAM in something similar to the freeroam 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2 that turned him into the brand he is today. So unless we come up with something similar i’m more or less convinced we won’t see him scoring 20+ goals a season anytime soon. Hopefully all this could change or take a positive twist once he gets back to scoring ways and gains some much needed confidence by starting regularly, which only time will tell i guess.

Just my 2cents on it.
