The counter argument has always been that "he is a CF". But as a CF he offers no aerial threat, he's slow, and not very physical. I don't think he can make it here.
You have already concluded that he can’t play CF without ever having seen him play there.

Dybala has only played as true forward once here, that was in the Coppa game last season with Costa and Bernardeschi on either side, and you could clearly tell that it was his natural position.

He played CF at Palermo too without problem.

We're not Palermo. You have to offer more as a Juve CF.

Allegri saw De Sciglio play every day for 4 years at Milan and he still requested him at Juve, so his judgement might not be flawless.

It would be very difficult to offer less than what Mandzukic currently does.

Even with Mandzukic's current form he provided an assist to Kean in that Empoli match. Because he is good with headers, you know. He also could've had an assist vs Milan when he set up Bentacur, again with his head. Even when he walks like a ghost he has an impact because of his physical characteristics.
By the way, can you name another one-footed slow CF who provides no aerial threat in any other top team? or in Juve in past 20 years?

It's always hard to find a solid RB - Mds is good for what Max uses him for imo, and he was like 10m?

Sarri’s Napoli scored 91 points and was actually a very good team.

Not comparable to De Sciglio who was always a below average player.

Mertens is smaller than Dybala, and not faster than Dybala, and he scored 34 goals in 2016/17 as a forward.

Mertens is much faster than Dybala. He started as a winger, and I don't think he's one-footed.

Apart from the one-footed bit, Del Piero.

But yeah, Dybala has done best as CAM.
