I mean, Higuain has a good weak foot and still Dybala scored more than him and from a deeper position. So I'm not sure how that is a big concern.

Can you name a CAM with a worse weak foot than Dybala? Even Ozil can do things with his right. He can make key passes with his right. It takes way more skill with the weak foot to send through balls or long distance shots. The more you touch the ball, the more you will need your weak foot.

If the only time you have to touch it with your right is in the box, then it's less of a handicap IMO. Dybala has scored goals with his right foot this year. Maybe more than Higuain with his left but I would have to go look.
Rivaldo. I'm sure there are others too, but he's pretty much the prime example of a one footed player.

Robben doesn't play in the middle so he gets far more space to take an awkward first touch (hence why some members have suggested playing Dybala wide rather than CAM) and Robben is (or was) also so good that it didn't matter that defenders knew he was going to cut inside every time. He was an exception.

Dybala ain't no CAM, he's a SS. Weren't you the one saying our 4231 is basically no different to old school 442? Did 442 have a CAM? Usually you have more space in front of the penalty area than inside it as it is crowded with CBs and the goalie. Would Dybala score a goal like Higuain did against Atalanta in Bergamo after Fede assist when he outmuscled Spinazzola and put the ball fiercely into the upper corner with his weaker foot? Or the goal against Roma in Turin when he put aside De Rossi like he was a dust on his shoulder and beautifully curled the ball into Szczesny's net with his left?

Literally no team plays with a player like Dybala as a lone striker. The only example I can come up with is Messi and even he was replaced with Suarez.

If you can field a team behind Dybala/Higuain that can do the work of 9 in defence and build up then I agree that Dybala is fine as SS. I actually like him better in a 3-5-2 because our wingers get higher and take more defenders from him. You need a monster mercato for this to happen. And for sure Pjanic is the first guy out the door. You need CMs like Saul Niguez to support 2 strikers.

It's true our 4-2-3-1 is basically a 4-4-2 and very few teams use 4-4-2 because it's shit. Even Barca in their make shift 4-4-2 and Messi got smashed by Roma.

There are teams who have used a light #9. Man City currently. Liverpool uses Firmino and he does nothing in the air like Dybala. He runs a lot though. David Villa for years. Rossi, Di Natale, Lacazette this year. Chicarito, Romario, Owen,

Dybala is not that small. He's an inch shorter than Immobile. He can at least chest a ball down if you put it near him, he's not Giovinco.

There's basically one example I can remember of him at CF here. Maybe @zizinho has more. This was Costa-Dybala-Bernardeschi :tuttosport: Keep in mind we are impossible to score on with a 4-3-3 so we don't need to score as many goals.

Can you say he looks out of place here? Genoa's CBs are lucky to stay on the field. He separates from them in a split second so easily. He is playing with Sturaro behind him in this match. Every time he vacates his area it's fucking Sturaro filling in. Imagine SMS or Pogba :tuttosport:
