My take on Dybala? Paulo is a natural SS/CAM and perhaps even a more advanced hybrid RF/LF, always looking to cut it to his left and curve it in(mostly one-footed), along with his excellent playmaking abilities and vision which also seem to pretty clearly suggest that. Tbh, i think he will never be able to play as our main striker in a 4-3-3 or any other formation tbf, he ain't made for that as it would just limit many of his wide range of skills, unfortunately he is neither strong enough nor much of a poacher to make it work there and as far as i can comprehend we ain't planning to use any 'fake 9' tactics just to fit him in either, so i'd rather not fall for that, if Higuain is to go he will surely be replaced by another proper striker.

P.S.: The only way i could ever imagine Dybala work in a CF/F9 role would maybe solely be under a team coached by Pep or Sarri(which imo won't happen anytime soon), tho even then there is no guarantee regarding how well he'd fare.

To add to your arguments he doesn't have a right foot while it is essential to be able to finish with both feet equally.

Dybala's right foot is a way bigger handicap in buildup. He takes every first touch with his left which leads him into very bad positions. He can't beat opponents regularly on the right foot. He can't make any key passes with the right.

As a #9 all he has to do with the right foot is get the shot on target. We've seen goals this year with his right where he just gets it on target. From such a close distance it can go in.

Name me a striker from a top club that has a weaker foot as weak as in Dybala's example.

I mean, Higuain has a good weak foot and still Dybala scored more than him and from a deeper position. So I'm not sure how that is a big concern.

Can you name a CAM with a worse weak foot than Dybala? Even Ozil can do things with his right. He can make key passes with his right. It takes way more skill with the weak foot to send through balls or long distance shots. The more you touch the ball, the more you will need your weak foot.

If the only time you have to touch it with your right is in the box, then it's less of a handicap IMO. Dybala has scored goals with his right foot this year. Maybe more than Higuain with his left but I would have to go look.
