Yeah seems strange, the first thing that comes to mind is he genuinely loves this club, I think he grew up watching DP, you can even tell from his playing style, studied movements, like that gial against sassuolo, reminded me of DP spot.. another words the colors were already in his heart..other than that it can only be Moggi involvement, dude runs very very deep in waters Marotta will never be able to swim in.
The Marotta-Agnelli-Paratici-Nedved quartet came to power when the club was where AC Milan is now. In 6 years time they won 5 scudetto, 1 coppa, 3 supercoppa and went to a CL final. All this while having to make huge cuts in the wagebill and work on a tight budget. In that timespan, they allmost doubled the turnover of the club, have the only "plan" that is actually working and have significantly decreased the average age of the team. All this in the poor situation serie a is at today. All this whilst clubs who were reigning at our start have crushed and burned, because its so hard to get your shit togheter in italy.

Moggi came at a juventus which was a financial fortress and had an impressive selection and was playing in the greatest league in the history of football. He was inconsistant. Great Mercato's in '94&'95,'01, '04&'05. He never had that consistant plan. He spended big in 3 bursts. He did that excellent. But the lower key purchases he did in between, had a considerable degree of shit.

Marotta got a shitty defective juve, and in less then 6 years time, brought them to the level where Moggi started, with much lower average age, and just 10 euro.

Marotta didnt received a lake with "very very deep water", he dug it himself.

The ace of hearts
Dybala is extraordinary off the field too: his first club in Laguna Larga was robbed, he personally bought it all back

Don't remind me. The desert trip is sold out
What a line-up. I thought about it, but I couldn't get the time off work to make a trip to Cali this autumn. Would have been a nice little road trip. Amazing music, some Oregon and North Cali surfing. Some bouldering at Tahoe and J Tree...
