Forget starting Mandzukic and Zaza right now. One is not match fit and certainly should not be starting an important CL match, and the other is not starting caliber material at all.

Deploy our attackers in the 4-3-3, like he did in the two matches before the break. Cuads wide right, Dybala playing in the middle, Morata on the left... and then when play is in the final third it's very fluid, Morata drifting central, Paulo supporting but frequently drifting left. Defend as either a 4-4-2/4-5-1.
This. So much this. It worked so well before the international break. I don't know what the heck he's thinking changing it immediately after.

Poor Dybala. We actually looked more dangerous going forward when he came on. At least he can run and take on players, possesses creativity and can pass. Now, what the fuck can Mandzukic do? Absolutely nothing!

I hope Allegri really knows the scheme with onboarding young talents (like Morata) and mainly because of that he doesn't play Paulo. In his 10 minutes he added more to our attack than Mandzu and Zaza both.

We can all discuss wether Dybala should play more prior games.

However, he has most minutes played from any forward, so lets stop this peasantry about him not playing at all.

Keep the discussion on point

You can't deny Zampa is correct here :) For all his insanity, own interest and selfishness he's 100% right in this case.
Hes mostly wrong

Putting Zaza on last night was a big mistake imo. Zaza performed terribly and couldn't put a pass together if his life depended on it. Dybala added a lightning pace to our attack the minute he received the ball. Not that we needed any more chances to score (we had too fucking many that we missed) but Dybala would've scored imo. I don't think hes being wasted here (yet) but it is extremely frustrating to see him play the way he does and repeatedly get benched.

Dybala has to mature says Allegri. It means we will prepare him to be sold somewhere else when he is ready.
Or maybe, he's confusing him with some good bourbon

facepalm all the fuck you like, not starting Dybala for 2 games running and picking a sub striker in zaza and an unfit striker in mandzukic ahead of Dybala is retarded to say the least
We got mandzukic because he's a very proven goalscorer, that made sense if we expected to domminate possession in their own half.

The substitutes however, were poor.

Dybala for mandzukic
Pereyra for cuadrado (good)
Lemina for Marchisio

The first one around 65/70, the others when the starting player ran out of steam

how did it make sense? when you are facing an opposition who are just defending all game, you need someone to unlock that defence, Dybala and Morata was perfect for this, not mandzukic, especially a mandzukic who feeds off nothing
