" Nevertheless, Zamparini has made it clear that Palermo will only sell their prized asset for the right price.

"There are six or seven teams that are interested in signing him," Zamparini was quoted as saying by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"At the moment, his valuation is €50 million."

Dybala has scored 13 goals in 30 Serie A appearances so far this campaign, while creating 10 more.

The attacker has a contract with Palermo until June 2016."

Is anyone stupid enough to pay 50 mil for a player who will be free agent in one year???

Dybala: 'Conte wanted me for Italy’
by Football Italia

Palermo forward Paulo Dybala reveals Italy CT Antonio Conte approached him to play for the Azzurri.
The 21-year-old is eligible to play for Italy and Poland through his ancestry, though he was born and grew up in Argentina.
“There was the chance to play for Italy,” Dybala revealed in an interview with Canal Plus.
“Conte sounded me out, but I’ve said many times that I feel Argentinian.”
Dybala will leave Palermo at the end of the season, and the player discussed his future, indicating he prefers Barcelona to Real Madrid.

“If the President [Maurizio Zamparini] says I’ve to leave, then I want to enjoy these last few games as a Palermo player, I want to do my best.
“I went to Barcelona to watch the latest Clasico, it’s a city I like a lot, and they play very nice football.
“Real Madrid? Because of all the champions they have in their squad, it’s beautiful to watch them play. They’re the best club in the world, in terms of the number of phenomenal players they can call upon.
“When I was a child I preferred Barcelona, because they had more Argentines. Then, of course, there’s [Lionel] Messi who is an idol in Argentina.”

So Dybala is waiting an offer from Barcelona or Real Madrid and if he comes to us this summer and does well and get their interest we'll be under pressure to sell him.

Let's say hypothetically this is true: we sign and sell later. We sign him now for 20-25 and sell for 50-60 in a couple years. Bad deal? I think NOT. :beppe:

Conte called me as well.
I hope you hung up on him.

Dybala the new Messi’
By Football Italia staff

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini says Paulo Dybala is 'the new Messi’ and reveals offers from Juventus and Arsenal.

The 21-year-old is certain to be sold at the end of the season, with the Bianconeri believed to be in pole position for his signature, though there is competition from abroad.

“Dybala is not [Sergio Aguero] but the new [Lionel] Messi,” Zamparini told Canal Plus.

“He’s not an out-and-out striker, but operates in every area of the field, like Messi.

“Will he stay? No, because the player and his agent aspire to a big club, and they’re right to do so. I’ve already received at least four offers.

“Two were from Italian clubs, and two were from abroad, and they include Arsenal and Juventus.”

Palermo have a history of recruiting South American strikers, with Argentinian Dybala just the latest in a series of purchases from that continent.

“History shows the best strikers are South American, especially Argentinians. I don’t know why, maybe they still play on the street at children.

“I was offered [Carlos] Tevez, but I wasn’t able to get him. Then there was Aguero for $15m, and I said 'ok’, but Atletico [Madrid] came in with $20m.

“We had [Javier] Pastore - [Edinson] Cavani - [Abel] Hernandez with [Fabrizio] Miccoli in reserve, I’d say that was a pretty good attack.

“However, I think that the partnership formed by [Franco] Vazquez and Dybala is even better, in terms of their level of understanding.”

At this rate, Dybala will have walked on water and healed Stevie Wonder by the end of May
