People need to stop acting like Cavani has become terrible at PSG. He scored 25 in 42 games last season, and has 21 goals in 43 games this season. I, for one, would be ecstatic to have those numbers here at Juve.

Were these same people calling Aguero out as a flop when he scored 17 goals in 40 games his second season at Man City? I think not.

And for the record, Cavani's 2012/13 season is better than anything Aguero has ever done. 38 goals in 43 matches is just so :tuttosport: Cavani is 28, he'd likely find his form again here, and kill it.
Cavani is very underrated around these parts maybe because he played for Napoli. As i said earlier in the morning, If we go back 3,4 years i'd take Falcao, Cavani and Suarez over Aguero without a second thought. But that's me.

I share the belief he'd regain his form here.

A player like Cavani would be favored to Morata at times, and hinder Morata from reaching full potential.
We want morata to be a success and he is on his way to that. But he is not proven and Lets be real, Morata cannot play eevry game of the 3 competitions. We need at the very least, one top tier forward to share the position with him. Cavani is perfect for this. Morata can even learn a thing or two about how you really CF.

Of course, how we get and pay Cavani´s wage is another matter. But you get the point.

Nothing to do with him playing for Napoli. He clearly is one of the best strikers out there, but he has never been better than Aguero at almost any stage of his career. Anyway

a) we can't afford him
b) we shouldnt be looking for prima punte. We need creative/SS type players. Playing Morata-Cavani together isn't the way forward IMO

His 3 years at Napoli he was better than Aguero. Seasons of 33 goals in 47, 33 in 48, and 38 in 43, say so. That's incredible. Aguero has never scored more than 30 in a year in all competitions.

Career-wise, and this year, Aguero > Cavani though it's very close. Aguero started dominating at a younger age, and Cavani is having an off year (no, not 2 off-years, 25 goals in 42 games last year was very very good).

Morata-Cavani playing in front of a very creative CAM/Treq would be fantastic. We'd destroy opponents with that. However, it'd be pretty much impossible for us to sign both Cavani and a top CAM in the summer, so like you say, better to focus on other upgrades first. :D

The two significant advantages you get with Cavani over Aguero are his workrate and (relative) lack of susceptibility to injury

At their best Aguero is probably the better player, but Cavani is the more attractive prospect imo for the abovementioned points

Don't think we'd get either though :D

You know what crazy thought came to my mind?....

What if....what if Marotta is planning to buy Berardi, just to offer him as part of the Dybala deal?

It's not impossible, look at Immobile and Gabbiadini. I wouldn't mind if we were sacrificing one of him or ZAZA for the cause.

Reality: Beppe is buying Cerri and Mauri from Parma as loan fodder to sweeten up a deal with inter for Guarin
Haha. I wouldn't mind Antonio Mirante as a back-up keeper next season, he's one of us. This is if the Neto deal dosen't happen.

It's exactly the opposite m8, most people here talk about Cavani as if he was a Messi/Ronaldo level player.

We don't have money for Dybala.

Also Tevez might leave in June.

That leaves us with M&M combination in attack.

Matri - Morata.

It's enough for 5th Scudetto in a row, hihi.

FYI, Matri is on loan and will go back to Milan by end of the season.

99% Dybala wont join Juve, with the remaining 1% chance being the he specifically requests Juve and would reject all other offers, forcing Zampa to deal with us.
