Paul Pogba let Manchester United know he would be open to signing a new deal with the club in 2019, but the Red Devils decided against offering him a new contract. The 28-year-old is now set to leave on a free next summer. (Source: Daily Mail)

They don't even want to keep him  Sounds like a huge red flag to me.

Safe to say he lost his way after leaving us. Enjoyed the hype and dancing with Jesse Lingard in their sliders.
I think he stopped developing and even regressed a bit. He had issues with his work rate when he was our player and things got slightly worse at United. He is one of the most talented players around but that's just not good enough if you don't work hard. His technical abilities look the same today as when he was 19 years old and this is not a good sign.

Daily Mail though? Does anyone have that reliability table like we have for Italian papers and journalists, but for English instead?

It's a trash source but it does sound believable that United wouldn't want to keep him around anymore. Brings too much unnecessary baggage with him. It's been 5 seasons and there are still question marks about his position or how best they can get out of him.

It's almost January and a new deal hasn't been spoken about yet. This 'divorce' is inevitable.

Pogba ability/work rate/preformence/wage are completly beside the point for me.

If we sign him, in two years time he becomes the veteran player at the club.
Having Pogba as that player is going to be a dissaster for us. Who will keep him in line? Dybala?
There is so much a coach can do.

If the situation was different maybe I would. We dont have the right squad to handle him properly and he isn't 22 anymore.
This is not a guy you want to bring in to lead your team, ever.

Ok first of all where did you get 390k? Is that a rumor of a wage he demands? His salary is 15M pounds yearly, which is around 17.5M euros yearly (gross or net, I don't know, can't be bothered to analyze ManU wage structure. @IlCapitano says gross so I guess). You think he doesn't deserve it but what does it matter? The tax law was introduced exactly for this, to make players like Pogba on high salaries affordable. If we gave him equal gross wages to Dybalas, you'd say he earns more than Dybala and it's undeserved, but it doesn't matter for the club because they both cost the same. So your overreacting is way overblown.

There is no fee, he is a free agent, his yearly amortization would be much much less than Arthur for example. Financially he won't be a problem for the club like Ronaldo was, or even like Higuain was, not even close.

Ok atleast you say he's worth a try at half of 390k, which I can get behind actually and I think it's slightly less than what we will offer him imo (if they even go for him)

Bottom line is he's got the physical tools to play the game well into his 30s. He's got WC ability on the ball, he's still in his prime and is out of contract. We have a coach that would know how to use him and if we can get him it would be a brilliant signing. Let's see though, I think it's between Paris, Madrid and staying at ManU and we get Tchouameni or someone like that
Actually they said he prefers Juve but let's hope you are right lol. just type Paul Pogba weekly wage on google.
He's an AM. I've said this since he first came to us as a kid. His talents are going forward, any DM duties and he will not be able to do both and it's not worth to have him do both because it demolishes his influence..and as strictly a DM he is average at best.
At right wages I'd give him a shot, for current asking price we have other options.
Let me put it to you like this, he asks for more than (about 1/3 more) modric and kroos. MODRIC!!!! FUCKING MODRIC.
I'm not going to say anything more to you because you are brainwashed. You have manlove for Pogba and there ain't no mountain high enough and there ain't no valley low enough to keep you from loving him lol

Modric signed his current contract last summer as a 36 year old. Aside from that, why even bring it up, it has nothing to do with what I said

none of them are mature choice. give me SMS .
Now you are talking, savic is well worth 90k a week and more.
So, savic, Loca and who? They are both ok defensively but need a DM specialist in there to not tie up these two in a 433 too much,.maybe a casemiro type? You are on fire find another good value like savic and call max.

Locatelli played this role for Sassuolo the last two years. And was excellent at it. He’s played as more of a B2B for Italy at times (because they have Jorginho and Verratti), and now for us too, further forward. But dependent on who is available and who we buy, he can definitely be the anchor.

Cuadrado is 33 and more efficient and better value than jogba..but I give you your little excuses.
What about kroos? He is barely 31..jogba is asking more than kroos? @Siamak you Wana pay jogba 30% more wages than kroos?
Cuadrado? Dude just give it a rest, youre not making sense
Kroos i give you, but you should ask his agent why hes playing for the richest club for 7-8 years of his prime for 10M

I'm not making sense? Cuadrado changed more games in his life than jogba ever did making ten times as much. Thats called value. You give me? no it's a fact. Kroos is head and shoulders above jogba.guy has same consistency for half a decade...Pogba had ONE better season than kroos in his life and as a whole.

Got it backwards, you should ask why jogba is making 15. Hype kills.
