I dont want to discuss wages because he wont be coming here. But you also need to understand that we actually can afford him, since the tax laws in Italy allow us to pay players that come from abroad more money on same gross wages. For example, Dybala at 17.5M gross would get around 10M, while Pogba would get 13-14 at those same gross wages. So its possible for us, but i dont think he wants to come, i think hell go to Paris instead, so there is no point discussing his wages. Im not a fan of giving high wages either, not to Pogba, not to anyone.

Ok first of all where did you get 390k? Is that a rumor of a wage he demands? His salary is 15M pounds yearly, which is around 17.5M euros yearly (gross or net, I don't know, can't be bothered to analyze ManU wage structure. @IlCapitano says gross so I guess). You think he doesn't deserve it but what does it matter? The tax law was introduced exactly for this, to make players like Pogba on high salaries affordable. If we gave him equal gross wages to Dybalas, you'd say he earns more than Dybala and it's undeserved, but it doesn't matter for the club because they both cost the same. So your overreacting is way overblown.

There is no fee, he is a free agent, his yearly amortization would be much much less than Arthur for example. Financially he won't be a problem for the club like Ronaldo was, or even like Higuain was, not even close.

Ok atleast you say he's worth a try at half of 390k, which I can get behind actually and I think it's slightly less than what we will offer him imo (if they even go for him)

Bottom line is he's got the physical tools to play the game well into his 30s. He's got WC ability on the ball, he's still in his prime and is out of contract. We have a coach that would know how to use him and if we can get him it would be a brilliant signing. Let's see though, I think it's between Paris, Madrid and staying at ManU and we get Tchouameni or someone like that

Ideally, I'd go for someone like Tielemans, supported by one of Tchouameni/Gravenberch and Locatelli, with Rovella and McNuggets/Arturd backing them up. Once Fagioli and Ranocchia have enough Serie A experience, they can be used in rotation as well.

This would require selling Fagiot, getting rid of Glassmsey's wages, and selling two of Bentancur, McNuggets and Arturd, which I don't think is feasible.

There are so many good mids available on frees as well, with Kamara and Zakaria coming to mind.

I'd rather we go young, Tchouameni, Gravenberch are quite intriguing, in Serie A there is Ivan Ilic, plus we got our own bunch of Fagioli, Rovella, Ranocchia (hopefully atleast one of them become good enough). There is some interesting young freebies too like Zakaria and Kamara. If we go for experience then Sergej got plenty, and he's still only 26 (although probably impossible and too expensive if that wasn't the case), others of similar age and caliber are probably out of reach. Having said all that, I don't think we can get a better player than Pogba this summer (those young ones might be in the future but not right now), and he will be very cheap compared to what he usually costs, so he falls under that opportunity bracket. If there is will from him, we should try. But I'm afraid it's gonna be another Donnarumma/Szczesny situation where we won't be able to sell (enough) mids

I don't want to see a single money collecting, unable to boil an egg individuals around our team for - ever.
