Dybala is an elite forward, second striker and even attacking midfielder. He is inconsistent at RW but has sometimes shown some great performances for us there. The bad form in 2018/19 was partially on Dybala himself and partially on Allegri. Let's not forget that our football was poor even when Dybala was not on the field. Ajax schooled us without Dybala playing.
I don't need statistics to prove that Pogba is a fraud. The fact that the overwhelming number of Man United fans want to get rid of him and think he's a waste of space tells the story. Also, if you are surrounded by bad players, it should theoretically be easier for a super-talent to stand out. Pogba these days looks like he fits right in with Fred and McTominay.
Dybala and Ronaldo don't really play the same position or the same role. Dybala prefers to come from the right and Ronaldo from the left. Dybala is a better dribbler and passer than Ronaldo. Ronaldo is a superior goalscorer and athlete. They actually compliment each other's skillset.
I would accept your opinion of Dybala a lot more readily if you didn't hype up Pogba, everything you criticize Dybala for can be said about this prancing clown. Makes you look like a giant hypocrite.
Depends on what you consider elite. He certainly doesn't have elite consistency, doesn't score or assist at an elite level and wasn't anywhere near elite in Europe bar 1-2 games. He is very, very good, sometimes touches that elite level. Consistency is what makes you elite.
It is much easier for bad players to drag good ones down than it is for good ones to improve them. Di Maria a prime example at United. Messi in Argentina too.
But I never argued Pogba hasn't been a flop for United and didn't use his stats to paint him in a better light. As opposed to you who uses stats when it fits him.
The fact you still think this after so much evidence they never play great at the same time, so many tactical and balance problems they create for the team when together etc. shows how deluded you are. One is right-footed, the other left-footed so they must fit right?
I don't hype up Pogba, on his current form at least. I just don't think his current form is the true representation of what he can do and believe that he just as many other players needs a right fit and the right motivation. I never claimed we should sign him over De Bruyne or Kroos or justify some of his antics and lack of effort at United like you do with Dybala. But he was also never like this with us, he is never like this when playing for France, while there's a well documented record of Man Utd ruining players in recent years. There's a difference between a player sulking in a messy team and a player doing what Dybala does season after season in a top organization like Juventus.
Would he be a huge improvement on anything we have in midfield? Yes.
Would he be a much better fit with Ronaldo than Dybala? Yes.
Would we be a better TEAM using money from Dybala's sale on two midfielders? Heck yes.
You can stop diverting this into a Pogba v Dybala discussion. We don't have a Ronaldo in midfield like we have in attack. We don't have a problem in attack as we do in midfield. I wouldn't be so easy to 'give up' on Dybala if he was our only great player in attack. One has nothing to do with the other. You just can't take any criticism of your little boy. For a couple years now you've never provided a valid explanation or defence of Dybala's problems. You only repeat 3 things: coach, his stats, and other players' flaws to justify his.
