Lampard completely destroyed Pogba on BBC after the FA Cup match. Today Mourinho has launched an attack on "certain pundits that have problems with their lives, but earn 10 times less than Pogba" and media suspect it's Lampard he's taking digs at. What a complete joke of a man he's become if he's ready to come at war with one if his most influential ex players just to defend the dabbing Carlton Cole. Shows you how much Mourinho values things in life, just like after the FA Cup match the other day he taunted the Chelsea fans by showing them the United badge on his jacket. Meltdown starting and it'll only go worse if they're missing on Champions League football next season. Pressure's mounting on Mourinho, give him a few months and he'll show his real face once again. Bobby Charlton going to be proved right soon, always said he's not fit for the United job and will only ruin the club's reputation because of his big ego and constant controversy.

Mourinho has declined considerably, or the football world has caught up. Or a bit of both.

But his defence of his players is not his worst quality. This is a classic Mourinho where he defends his player but simultaneously says something outlandish so then the media shifts away from Pogba and straight onto him. His players will gain a slight reprieve from his defence but in the end both them and he will have to perform.

He's deluded mate if he thinks anyone is buying into his shite anymore. Silly comments like "Pogba was a giant against Chelsea, the best player on the pitch" coming from a supposedly grown up man make him look like a fool. This comment meant something 10 years ago when he was massively backed by the results. Now it's only delusions of grandeur coming from a yesterday's manager trying to hold on to his United job. He knows the results are poor and this particular signing was a complete farce so far, but he's making this comments to try and please the fans, making them into thinking he's defending the club and players with all he's got. He knows that in the eventuality of missing the top 4, fans are his only card out of jail, that's why he's licked they arsses since being appointed as manager. He's lucky United have a history of at least trying to keep their managers long term, otherwise he'd have been already rumoured to get the sack should he miss on top 4.

:agree:

The funniest bit is that the journo didn't even ask Mourinho about Pogba's performance. Mourinho just randomly, out of nowhere brought up Pogba and said he was "by far the best player on the pitch" and "a giant on the pitch tonight". You was launching some kind of pre-emptive attack on journalists before they even had a chance to slag off Pogba's performance against Chelsea

The comment about envious critics who will never earn a tenth of what Pogba does is just utterly classless.

Wait until he compares his Europa league success to Pogba.

You get it. That's why he's always been a special cunt.

Why still play Pogba in a double pivot tho. Is it to fit Mata or Rooney in the line up? Such a messy side they are atm

Still Pjanic style and one touch passing suits the position more than Pogba whos always been adventurous and likes driving forward.

Though I agree with you Pjanics defensive contributions have been surprisingly very good and he's committed. I guess Pogba's not buying into this role.
