Well, yeah in theory. But when has theory ever won you anything? We are apparently selling Pogba now, so who is going to replace him? Don't tell me Pjanic because he is only 1 part of the answer since Marchisio is also out. We need proper replacements if we want to see Gigi finally raise that trophy with the big ears...
There is no theory here only facts, pogba is worth 120m, when Zidane left we weren't worried about replacing him we were worried about improving and that hasn't changed. If tbe argument is about finding a similar replacement then you're right there probably isn't one.. IMO we are gaining much more with that 120m than being harmed by losing pogba whose presence or lack thereof won't win us a CL just yet maybe in 4-5 years it's POSSIBLE and even that not for certain how he will mature. He is an important player just not 120M important. Or wd can wait 4years and see if and when he makes an impact. Not a gamechanging player in Europe yet

Comparing to other midfielders in the world, Pogba is worth about 60mil. 70 if you count his final 3 months.

Again. Verratti, Iniesta, Vidal, are all players who are better then Pogba currently. More impactfull. More consistant. But pogba (and also verratti), have a great amount of progress to leave them behind.

120mil is paying for the progress he's still going to make and the marketting potential.

Even in this crazy market he is not worth what he is valued..I don't care much for this talk where 120 mill is not his value right now but it's based on possible future "potential"..if a fool pays the 120m, let them. He will never be a Zidane where as someone said even when he was having an off day he impacted the match..when pogba has an off day be is rarely noticeable..and please don't use the age excuse, look at Dybala look at his maturity level, a true leader you can see it in his eyes.

Another thing is if after all that he still is willing to return to the same club let him go and choke on the money he will have deserved it..50--60m player at best..take the 120 now and buy two vidals ffs..
He definitely made some great assists out of absolutely nothing earlier in the season when he and everyone else were playing like shit.

They quite simply are. Pogba shows up around January, and will bring flashes but cannot carry a team at all, needs to be carried, and will provide crucal plays when he is.

Verratti, Iniesta and Vidal are players who will actively carry their team and seriously lift those around them, they can be crucual all game and are very consistant all game all season.

When i think of Iniesta in his prime, preknee issues Juve Vidal, i would like to see Pogba become more important then those two were cause thats incredibly steep.

Verratti..... at Pogba's best its an argument who is better. But verratti is good all year when not injured. You can disagree. But i'd advice to watch for example all big CL games he featured. The impact that guy had is insane, for example against barcelona that was such an insane performance. Pogba is yet to be that valuable against a massive team.

This is not hating on Pogba, but plenty of people here are underrating Verratti cause he's playing a deeper position and isnt making as many goals.

Anyway he is gone and I want that to happen quicker in order Marotta to have a time to find some proper replacements
Marotta should already be finding replacements, if Pogba is a definite goner. In fact, he should have started 2-3 weeks ago. Leaving it to the last 4 weeks in the mercato only yields disastrous results, and we end up with another Hernanes.

I'll also add i'm a big verratti fan, in case no one noticed the obvious.

So apparently Paul pogba doesn't impact matches now?!!

It's as if we are talking about Poulsen and not pogba.

I get that some of you are mad, but have some self respect and don't be childish like Napoli and epl turds

No not in Europe he doesn't..got any CL clips that will say otherwise and justify his 120m pricetag? Please post I'll watch and learn, otherwise we can win serie A without him guaranteed. I've Always liked pogba, nothing against the guy but you are delusional if you rather keep him instead of the money. I rather he stayed but we won't be crippled at all if he goes which he likely will not.

I was responding to Dukac, who stated that Marotta should sell Pogba in order to have time to find proper replacements. I was merely stating the he should already be on it, if that is the case. Why do you feel the need to butt in, considering I am not even addressing you, is the more pertinent question?!

Because you can be incredibly annoying about the best management in football since very long

Look. We have an awesome defense and our attack has been upgraded, but if we sell Pogba and end up with a midfield of Pjanic, Marchisio, Khedira, Asamoah, Lemina, Witsel, Sturaro, and Mandragora then it is a downgrade, and a massive one at that, considering who we lined up with in 2015. We lose a lot of tenacity, pace, physicality, mobility, dynamism, and that X factor in midfield. the midfield goes from top 3 to very good (maybe top 10). Too many ifs and buts, and too many variables, whether pertaining to injury, consistency, or reliability.

Pogba last 2 seasons was easily better than all those, apart from a period where he was recovering from an injury and was out of form
