Pogba was misused as a very limited CDM unable to bring out the grand majority of his skillset, and quite frankly was expendable at that position

im actually very disappointed in DD after this Euro, i held him for a better coach than he showed to be this tournament. he was absolutely clueless as to how to set up that team properly, he even screwed up at not calling some players that could help them greatly while calling some mediocre ones. if you ask me how i find Pogbas performances at the Euro, id say he was mediocre compared to his usual self. but even then i found him the best French mid in pretty much all games bar the final so that just shows what a high standard he has set to himself. Giacch had a great tournament to his standards, Conte once again took the best out of him. his role though cant be compared to that of Labile who was supposed to carry the French midfields offense while Giacch was a role player that played his role at a high level

Pogs is a Xavi, guti, seedorf kinda player. He's a utility player, he won't be the one putting it down when shits needed. Giach is like Ronaldo, sneijder, zidane, inzaghi he shows up when he's needed most.

Despite being barely a third the player Pogs his in terms of talent, Giach had tenfold the impact Pogs has.

i'd advice to watch an analysis of that, i missed it too. Giac's forward runs were so extremely well prepped, that he created a huge amount of danger on those long vertical or diagonal passes, and was doing an insane amount of running to make that happen(13km/game)

Only when De Rossi and Candreva were out, with alot of the feed gone, it became harder.


From all those mediocre players aside from juve4+DDR, Giac was by far the biggest cog to get that working.

2. tell him he can play BtB with same runlines and tactical instructions as at juve + a few game specific ones
3. set up the middle cm to be supporting pogba
4. ask Evra to support Pogba like he does it at juventus
5. watch him win you games in the form he ended the season with

agree with this. hes a very limited player but he works so hard and is doing all the work tactically to make up for this.

i think he didnt want to bench Matuidi for the work he brings and couldnt put him on the right for how one footed he is. its still hilarious how he moved Pogba around to fit in guys like Matuidi, Kante or Sissoko, couldnt he have called other mids that Pogba could coexist with. hes your best player with Griezmann ffs
