Dude. The guy scores goals, and his numbers are impressive. However, how many of his goals have actually been decisive? How many titles has he won throughout his career? At 23, Pogba has more league titles than him, and they both have yet to win the CL. He choked big time with Argentina, and wasn't the key performer in Madrid.
Padoin also has more titles than Higuain.

Tuz logic.

no way man

Pogbas this season > Higuains at 22 or 23 or whatever. if you claim otherwise you either havent watched both or are simply turning on Pogba now that he seems to be leaving
Not in the slightest. You clearly didn't watch Higuain at 22. He was far more consistent. And much better. I know you might have been too young to be watching football seriously 6-7 years ago, but that doesn't mean you can feign ignorance. Higuain was a beast at that age, both for Argentina and Real Madrid.

It doesn't mean Pogba isn't the better potential player, and doesn't have far higher heights accessible to him... It doesn't mean that Pogba won't eventually be a far better player...

But at 22, Higuain was clearly better. It's not even close.

Higuain: 29 goals-7 assists - 40 games. Had the best chance conversion rate in Europe that year
Scored 4 goals in 4 games at the world cup including a knockout game winner.

He has scored goals in the knockout rounds of 5 straight major international tournaments. 4 times, winning goals. So again, you don't know fuck all about Higuain. You just know he missed 3 chances total over 3 finals. Oooooooo... 1 chance per final. Maybe if Messi or Aguero actually started scoring, Argentina would win something.

Pogba was utter shit for France in the Euro final. And mediocre for us in the CL final. Yay Pogba. He also missed a free header in the box against Barca that would have made it 2-2 in that CL final.

Teams win leagues. Not individual players. This is the very first season Pogba has been decisive for us in the league... and he still had a shit first 4 months of the season.

He is very obviously a top tier superstar now, after his last season.

And you don't care? That's funny. You seem to care.

Did Pogba lead us to titles on his own? Nope. Dybala was a more important player, as was Marchisio this season. Look how bad we were to start the season when Pogba was supposed to be our leader. We sucked balls, and he was just appalling.
Please dont let B81's bullshit turn this thread into Pogba vs Higuain. You're stepping to his rodent level by even engaging in a discussion on this subject. We have sold a world class midfielder with the potential to become one og the greats and bought one of the Best strikers in the world. Discuss the transfers seperately as its hard enough to argue which striker is better, let alone cm vs cf.

I'm amused by the amount of hate Pogba has been getting from some members recently. :D

Straight from love to hate :disagree:

Pogba is an absolutely fantastic player, who has a good shot at becoming the best player in the world one day. It doesn't change the fact that he isn't yet the best player in the world, nor even close to it, just because he had a fantastic final 3 months of the season.

Coincidentally, we had already played Roma and Napoli return fixtures, and been knocked out of the CL when he really started to dominate.

He's nowhere near consistent enough to be proclaimed as this world class superstar above and beyond all other players in our team. He's not that good yet. He will be one day in all likelihood, but saying he's already there is just stupid.
