They both do an identical job on the ball though, holding onto it and directing the play. They'd get in each other's way imo. It's not the position I'm talking about, just redundancy of roles
Watch Pjanic more closely. He's far less of an on the ball playmaker than Verratti. He takes it, distributes it quickly. His passing and through balls are brilliant, but he is not a player who holds the ball often and for long periods...

Verratti, on the other hand, is more of an on-ball playmaker from deep... holds onto the ball, dribbles players often, and excellent long ball passer.

I can't say they would work together for sure... at the same time, I don't see why not.

I'm too lazy to change my Pogba ava,
Here’s the bottom line: everyone has an imaginary companion who’ll be with you your entire life. His name is Fear.

If you allow this companion to take control of your life, then he’ll put you in a straightjacket.

But Fear can also be your loyal companion. When you hop on the wild roller coaster of life, engaging in an infinite number of exhilarating undertakings, Fear will come along with you.

He won’t get in your way, but he’ll always be there as long as you’re doing new things. When you feel fear, it’s a sign that you’re doing something new and exciting.

Well... anyway we need another classy midfielder to replace Pogba.

I'm not happy with Pjanic-Marchisio-Herrera/Matic/Khedira when the other day we had Pogba and Vidal there.

Higuain is a quality player. Please let's not compare him to Mandzukic.

Having said that though, it is a bit weird that they got a 23 year old Pogba for the same amount that we got a 28 year old Higuain for, except 6 million more.

Pogba in comparison to that seems like a bloody bargain now if the numbers quoted about are true. Screw everything about this.
Before the rumors he was considered "Mr.100mln" and now we get more than that (110 NET+bonuses+Raiola part) and still upset?! This is a great deal, economically speaking,Pogba is not worth that much.

To bad he is gone, but we are Juve, not Napoli,i believe Beppe will sign 1-2 top players.

Okay, well the difference between Pogba and Pjanic is greater than between Higua and Morata, so the overall quality has dropped there imo
It could be... because Morata is likely to improve...

But you realize you called the difference between a 38 goal striker and a 12 goal striker, less than between two mids Pogba with 10 goals-15 assists, Pjanic with 12 goals-13 assists.

Of course there are other differences between Morata and Higuain, and Pjanic and Pogba that change this comparison a bit... But as things stand today, Higuian + Pjanic > Morata + Pogba and it's not that close.

The future... that could change drastically. But as of today. No way.

What's your point? Neither Pjanic or Higuain have been decisive in finals either. I'd expect a 28-29 year old striker who cost 90 million, and a midfielder that everyone is creaming their pants to, to be somewhat more clinical and decisive. Pogba possesses huge potential, and that is what is pissing me off.
Well Pjanic and Higuain now play for a big club with a squad capable of playing a major role in Europe

Higuain has scored in the knockout rounds of every single major international tournament for Argentina dating back to World Cup 2010... 5 straight tournaments with knockout round goals. Only Argie player who can say that. So please B81. He's choked bad in finals... That's it.
