That's not my logic at all so stop putting words in my mouth. What would Juve have gained from forcing him to stay if he wanted out? Having a player disgruntled and unhappy playing like $#@! for what purpose? To possibly mess with the locker room chemistry. $#@! that if he wants to go to a $#@! club to be a fake ass gangster than $#@! him and the horse he rode in on. We are JUVENTUS he's just Paul
You are right. We shouldn't force Dybala to stay either if he wants to leave next season. A couple of phone call's to the management being adamant about wanting to leave and boom everyone is set free to leave, as long as they pay us the right fee! The Arsenal-way is known to lead to a lot of success, particularly internationally.

Yeah this was done and dusted long time ago. Maybe even agreed upon by Marotta, so he could use the time to spend the cash and soften the blow. The director probably enjoys the deal as well, gets two transferrecords to his name.
Prolly and it became obvious as soon as the rumors of 90m for Higgs started popping up.

Think long and hard about how many supposed "done deals" happen every year. Could this happen, sure. But lets not get ahead of ourselves and disrespect what Pogba's done for us. From 7th place to CL finals in less than four years!

If the deal does happen, oh well. We turned 800k into 120m and got four years out of him. Sure, he's taking a step down (not reputation wise but EL and league wise) but he wants the money and his agent wants the money. If thats his mentality, he should go. We need fighters as we push for the CL...

Enjoy playing in Croatia, Kazahkstan and Bulgaria in EL.

Feeder club rhetoric?

That 120m payday says different.

Bring Vidal back, grab anothe CM and we're gucci.
I was fine with selling Vidal last summer, under the assumption we'd keep Pogba for a couple more seasons... but it's a little disappointing we sold him now, without getting some sort of guarantee from Pogba to at least stick around for 2 more seasons, if not 3.

I know management was disappointed in his off-field antics, as was I... but if this is how the whole thing has played out, I'd rather have sold Pogba last summer, and tried to sort out the Vidal issues.

Most disappointing part of the entire Pogba saga, is we sold Vidal last summer instead of him.

Why would Bayern have kept Ribery in 2009 and not bend over to Chelsea/Real, despite him wanting to leave?
A world record transfer fee was not put on the table for Ribery.

Once again; this was always what it would take to bring Pogba away from Juve. And now, a club has come forward and offered exactly that.

Yes a deal was struck with the player first, but that's not uncommon.

I'm absolutely certain that despite of him agreeing terms with United in June, he would not be sold for let's say 80 or 90 million, had they stopped there.

The player is (was) under contract here, and we would have just flat out rejected that. But this money is too good to pass up.
