Which we aren't gonna spend on Higuain. As I've said the sooner you accept this, the easier will be for you to move on.
We may will or we won't. I hope we do, if we're loosing Pogba.
Not my fault it's easy to get to you :p
:D I actually had fun. my replies to those seemed like went over your head.
Nedved was nowhere near as expensive as Higuain would be. Nedved was half his price and the guy had exceptional physique that allowed him to remain WC or close to this level until he was 37-38 years of age.
He was at the time and Lazio was pain in the ass to negotiate with. you have to take into account that Pogba's sell's also supposedly x3 times what Zidane went for. I don't see Higuaín for playing that long either, but he won't be a temporary investment, it'll take several seasons until we have to replace him.

At the end of the day, we're in the wrong league. Doesn't matter what we do if collectively Serie A is looked upon as being irrelevant by football fans which obviously leads to the most lucrative TV deals being taken elsewhere.

You can blame the shortsightedness, retardedness and provincial mentalities of other clubs.

the same way ManU made it to their financial firepower without having an actual good football team

marketing, tv, image rights, virality, sponsorship deals you name it

pogba is a billion dollar bill that sampobeppe is selling for 120 million
I don't think he will stay there long, to be honest. Greedy man Raiola will start pushing for a move to Real/Barca in a couple of seasons.

It's a self-sustaining system, a financial leviathan. The more you feed it the stronger it gets. The more they spend the more revenue they get.

And we are losing out on every level.
OK. So by that logic if they spend a Billion on Pogba it still will make them richer?

Yeah, it seems that a lot of fans take joy in the mediocre nature of our rivals, but in my mind it is better if the other teams and the league in general is stronger. If eventually Inter, Milan Roma all own their stadiums and strong squads etc it'll be better for us as TV revenue will increase and the ability to attract players will improve

No but this could be a catalyst for Manchester United. Like how Zidane was for Madrid. In fact they are copying Perez strategy of making big galactico signings and make the brand even bigger. Pogba would become a money printing marketing machine with Man U.

Yep the only shortcut is hoping that the Chinese money really flows in to the league.

I'd never wish success on our rivals but the truth is we need them to improve drastically ASAP otherwise the gap between us and BPL/Top 2 La Liga teams will keep on growing. And we'll be fucked.

How can we keep getting strong TV deals when people look at the league, and see our old rivals AC Milan stating that they have < 10 million euros to spend in the Summer

People don't take this league seriously. That's the most damaging aspect of all of this.

We should go La Liga way. Make AC Milan great again and market the shit out of the Juve-Milan derby. The rest can fight for scraps

I cant stress this enought.

people here just want to see the other teams sucking forever..but this only hurts us on the long run. is not that difficult to understand.

Serie A classic need some hype of old...and juve need proper rivals to beat, not scrubs that end with -18 points difference at the end of the league.

We rae very strong....but on top of that our rivals are terribad..in players, in Board of directors and in stadiums.

Outside Turin, All is a mess.

It all depends on how well they perform on sporting level. Nothing is guaranteed. Pogba is not Zidane just yet and it also depends on how he performs on the pitch.

Real successful even before Zidane. They won the 98 and 00 CL.

Yes that is true. United needs to also start winning. But Pogba would also improve them on the field. Enough for them to win the EPL? Maybe not

And aspiring players are using this league as a huge european training ground/stepping stone to get experience and to be seen by other leagues.

No sane good player will com to this league aspiring to forge a long lasting career...because the paychecks and hype are in the other top leagues.
But serie A is very good for youngsters around the world to get experience a go to a "real" league. ASAP.
