I know you strongly believe that spending 94m for 29 yo is wise, but the sooner you let go of this idea the better. No sane mgt would have made this type of deal. That's EPL meets Massimo Moratti in his prime (mid 90es).
28, and I will at Aug first. We're loosing Pogba, so I won't be that bothered in comparison if we don't get Higuaín. Beppe's said we always look for the right mix, so stop trying to make it sound like we some Dortmund / Arsenal team that only look to sign and develop young prospects.

 then who plays pogba spot, clearly you haven't thought this through
Obviously i have.

1) Pogba is staying, but will get a raise.

2)In case that what you would absolutely cherish, Pogba to get sold, the situation is exceptionally simple.

Finding a DM in todays market that can build the play, is very tricky. Few do it good, and none of them are gonna be of good value for money. But we currently have ways to back that up, cause Pogba, was not a DM.

Pjanic, hernanes, Lemina, are the players for DM when Marchisio is out

Pogba is one of the BtB mids. So the issue is exactly this : find another BtB mid. This makes it different. Because there are actually alot of good cm's out there, that could be interesting. We read Diawara and Matic for example. The guy Moggi was suggesting. Apparently Rakitic(but i'm not buying that for one second).

My point is, if Pogba does leave like your heart desires, we dont 'need' a DM cause we have excellent options. We need a quality CM or DM. Thats the advantage of having an 'eclectic' player like Pjanic who can play DM/CM/CAM and why i liked that signing a great deal.

But Pogba is very likely to remain on a fatter contract, i'm very sorry for that.

Here you go again, imagining things.

If by saying we need experienced mid and a few youngsters it translates to you that we need to sign youngsters and develope them, then you're right.

Our policy isn't signing 29 year olds for large fees. The model worked rather well so far for us, while we have seen what happened to the likes of Milan or Inter that wanted to take shortcuts and sign expensive oldies. Not the sole reason, but among others contributed to their downfall.

Yeah, you sound like you won't.

the same way ManU made it to their financial firepower without having an actual good football team

marketing, tv, image rights, virality, sponsorship deals you name it

pogba is a billion dollar bill that sampobeppe is selling for 120 million
Couldn't agree more. Football aside - where he isn't replacable for us - even for 120m it would be a dumb move.

ManU is rich, and they will be rich because of all the things you said. But Pogba making 120m by himself? hard to see how.

It's a self-sustaining system, a financial leviathan. The more you feed it the stronger it gets. The more they spend the more revenue they get.

And we are losing out on every level.

Stop with that bullshit, didn't I say that's normally not the case, how you compare this one particular case to Moratti piling up expensive signings one after other. We have a sudden huge income of cash. How is that much of financial sacrifice when it covers both transfer fee and wages and even more. Was Nedved an inter move too? judging by what you're saying now it most probably would be in your view.

Yeah, you sound like you won't.
I said I wouldn't. what's with all these cheap shots? dreaming, imagining... good day dude.

Which we aren't gonna spend on Higuain. As I've said the sooner you accept this, the easier will be for you to move on.

Not my fault it's easy to get to you and you're being too defensive :p

Nedved was nowhere near as expensive as Higuain would be. Nedved was half his price and the guy had exceptional physique that allowed him to remain WC or close to this level until he was 37-38 years of age.

I think you're confusing things here, believing that if we lose quality in the middle we may compensate it by adding in attack. It simply doesn't work like that. Midfield is the most important area, allows you to control the game. We had crappy attackers but still won the league, while Milan or Napoli had much better forwards but lost the league to us. If classy attackers have Sturaro to pass the ball to them, then all their effort falls flat.

To summarize, utd wont benefit much from shirt sales as much as they will get from other brand merchandising and of course most of all attracting all those asian :bandwagon: followers.
