Players tend to do that. And despite that fact, Manchester is a pretty big name.

I also believe it's rather tempting to join them at the moment simply because have Mourinho and Ibra. IMO many players will find that motivating.

I find it quite weird what we're doing this summer. Looks rather confusing. Did we really sign Pjanic to play next to Pogba? It's kinda strange. I'm not gonna be surprised if we sell him.
What's so confusing?

pjanic is above all a temporary marchisio replacement, and also a player who's better than khedira, and can cover different positions on the midfield.

2 years ago, we had 4 "starter" mids in pirlo, vidal, marchisio and pogba. now we have an injured marchisio, an unreliable* khedira, pjanic and pogba. nothing wrong with that, it doesn't mean that pogba's leaving. both pogba and pjanic are able to play in different positions: pogba plays on the right of the midfield at the national team, pjanic is a capable regista, could play at pogba's position, or even as a tq. bringing pjanic in means for me that beppe's trying very hard to keep the squad competitive for the next cl season.

*i mean health-wise. when he's actually available, i'm quite happy with him.

- Because I can't see us fielding both :D
- Maybe... but it's like people forgot how much Morata did here and how great he was. There aren't many players better than him, let alone available for us to sign
1) I don't see why not. Khedira - Pjanic - Pogba could work really well until Marchisio returns.
2) I think everyone recognized what Morata brought to this club and I think you should pass that judgement after you see what the club has in mind. I think they've earned that much over the years.

Two things imo.

1) signing Pjanic. I might be wrong but I find it weird if we're planning to field both him and Pogba
2) we lost Morata. And at this point we have no clue who are we getting to replace him
Why? Pjanic and Pogba play very different roles. Pjanic has never really played on the left side like Pogba, mostly played as a RCM for Roma. Occasionally as a deep-lying playmaker, and even more occasionally as an attacking mid. He's incredibly versatile. Much like Pogba.

We won't be limiting Pogba by playing Pjanic. Who will likely slot into Marchisio role if we go 3-5-2, and play it in more of the Pirlo style (with better defensive contributions).

I seriously doubt the club spent 30 mil on a Pjanic with the idea that Pogba and Pjanic can't work on the pitch together. Pogba thrives playing alongside midfielders who actually have good passing and ballskills. It's why he has done so well alongside both Pirlo and Marchisio, and why he struggles with France playing alongside clumsy ass midfielders with no touch. Pjanic will be perfect for him.

Pjanic and Pogba are also different players. Pjanic despite being comfortable with the ball isn't the one who's going to bring it up field, he's like Pirlo.

As good as Khedira is we can't rely on him to play every game.

Pjanic can play anywhere in midfield 3 in 3-5-2 plus he can play 3/4 in 4-3-1-2. He's 26 and TOP 5 player in Serie A. For 30mln? What to think about?

Also, what is so tempting in playing with Ibra under Mourinho? It's not 2010 anymore.

Exactly.

Dusan is being ridiculous. We're not selling Pogba because we signed Pjanic. If we sell Pogba the Pjanic purchase has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Being confused about how Pogba and Pjanic could play together is nonsense to be quite honest. It's pretty evident that Pjanic will be an ideal midfielder for Pogba to thrive alongside, and vice versa.

-You will see them both on the field at the same time
-Although Morata was really good for us he wouldn't have started most of the time

I can understand being tempted to play under Pep but not Mourinho. He doesn't have the same kind of appeal like his prime years.
That's right.

Who would you rather pick? Zlatan and Mourinho or Dybala your favorite finger touching buddy and Allegri your splash brother. Seems an easy choice.

What happens when Marchisio returns? We'll play Pogba - Marchisio - Pjanic? I don't see him being a backup player for the amount that we paid. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm saying it won't work to field those. It's just that I find it weird. Secondly, I'm scared we're preparing the pitch to sell Pogba.

Why would be tempting to play under Pep who choked in Europe with team that has crushed the same competition under the previous coach? Because he dominated in Bundesliga?

It's very likely we start playing a 4 man midfield at times with Pjanic as 3/4ista...

Khedira-Marchisio-Pogba
----------Pjanic

Is likely the best midfield in Europe.

But Marchisio will need some time to get back in the swing of things, in rotation... not to mention Khedira's lack of durability.

Once Marchisio is healthy, even a 3 man midfield is excellent, with

Pjanic-Marchisio-Pogba

Khedira-Pjanic-Pogba

Khedira-Marchisio-Pogba

Which gives us the ability to rotate both Marchisio and Khedira in Serie A, and allow them to stay healthier for our CL push, where we will likely play a 4 man midfield with Pjanic as 3/4ista.

I really don't find it weird at all.

And I'm of the opinion Pjanic has nothing to do with selling Pogba. The club has reiterated this many times, and has stated multiple times that the goal this year is a CL title. I just don't see it. And I don't really see Pogba forcing his way out for any teams but Madrid or Barca.
