Why would I form judgment on a player/players from 3 matches at an international tournament...? When I have an entire season of watching these players perform at clubs.

International football says almost nothing about players. Playing with basically unfamiliar teammates, in unfamiliar systems for the most part, under new coaches with different tactical systems that they have a couple weeks to adapt to from their clubs.

Pogba > everyone listed there by a country mile, aside from Modric.

No there's nothing laughable about whoever said they'd rather have Iniesta or Verratti who are great players in their own right. Pogba is a complete midfielder who could become the best but he has still achieve that level of consistency that this hype commands. Seems like you guys just like overrate Pogba to the moon.

Only a complete ass would rather have a 32 year old Iniesta who is nowhere near Pogba's level at this point. Consistency is great and all, but Pogba was the best midfielder in the world for the last 5-6 months of this season, once our team settled in with all the changes, and he regained and improved upon his pre-injury form from last year.. He was incredibly consistent this past year down the stretch run of the season, after the poor start.

A level above both Iniesta and Verratti easy. Which doesn't mean they aren't great. But very clearly below Pogba at this point.

We might have been watching a different player for the last 2-3 years then because I'd say he has been pretty damn good for that stretch. I'm bringing the last two months up because he was unreal during that period and it is unrealistic to expect the player to keep that kind of form up for the entirety off the season but that doesn't mean he played badly for the other part of the season. He had couple of bad games at the start of the season when the whole team struggled other that he was immense.

And you are misinterpreting my posts. When i read this current Iniesta is nowhere near Pogba's level, i simply have to laugh. So in this context, it would be putting Pogba on a pedestal when he aint done anything yet compared to what Iniesta done in his career. Last time i saw, he is still strutting stuff like a world class player.

Since we talk about club football, can you tell me a standout Pogba performance against a big team in the CL ? He had several good to very good but stand-out ?
