Reaching the top 3 is not winning it..as long as messi and ronaldo compete, it will be a popularity contest based on goals..ronaldo who doesn't contribute $hit to defence and saves his breath only to tap in goals off the hard work of other team mates.. Zidane and matheus are on completely different level than any player on that list and even today it would be difficult to ignore them but sammer figo and gullit? Slim chance today.

if he wins the CL by scoring/assisting or being man of the match in most knock out games while we win the CL and Scudetto he has very good chances, especially in a season where Ronaldo and Messi dont score 40+ league goals and another 10+ in CL
