Actually it's quite old, it's been acceptably used for hundreds of years over there. But yeah, every outsider freaks out when they find out about it 
When you have a country as racially mixed as Brazil it was bound to happen. I don't really care for racially labelling people, we're all the fucking same. But you look at someone like Thiago Silva and you can't say he's black. He's obviously got some either Native SA and European. And just maybe some distant African blood somewhere in his family tree but certainly mixed. Ramires on the other hand...
