Oh boy. The sale is gonna crush you even harder now.

And all the ones fapping to this saying it's a great marketing move, we'll see how great of a move it is after we sell for 40 mil.
Being pessimistic won't make it easier to swallow. You gain nothing by being pessimistic. On the other hand take things lighthearted and you'll be happier and healthier even if you think it's delusional.

I don't mind selling both Morata and Pogba next year and having a massive transfer budget. So, either way is good for me. I'm not bitter at all and I'm excited about the new season with so many new and young players.

Apparently all of a sudden, if a Juve player requests something, then the club has no say in it.

It is not a matter of Pogba nit deserving the 10 (and to be honest I'm not entirely sure he does), but the timing only shows that the club wanted to give something new to make the fans think about something else and take their minds off the disappointing transfer market. An perfect Galliani move like Osman said. This makes Beppe's comment about us signing another midfielder to make up the numbers true, for a change. Also, I don't see how the club managed to convince Pogba to stay for more than another year just because he is now wearing the 10. It didn't stop us with Tevez, and if this Summer taught us something, is that if Pogba wants to leave, he will.

And we will swim in oil money. Win-Win.

Something so nice as Pogba getting the #10 it doesn't surprise me that people will still try and find something negative behind it.

So, you are assuming that the club thinks its fans are stupid, and easily distracted? Because that is what you are implying, and frankly that is not an insult to the club, but to all of us as their fans

thats because you initially assume Pogba wanted to leave next summer this whole time. what if he never intended to leave and thus never needed any major convincing?

and yeah, if Pogba requests to leave he will be sold. but considering we rejected 80M from Barcelona few weeks ago, that does indicate that he doesent want to leave. that means that atleast right now, he has no intentions of leaving.

Well, depends if you think the club will sign a top player before the mercato ends or not.

Pogba gets #10 > 5 pages of Pogba will leave anyway posts.

tuz :touched:
It's a bit tedious. Starting to avoid more and more threads due to this pathetic underdog mentality. He is a top player, one of the most popular atm and playing for a genuine top club. The rest is bs.

I won't discuss this with you. You'll be on suicide watch by this time next year.

The Negative Boy Band Brigade will see this move in one of the following ways:

-he wanted to leave and all we could offer was the #10 to keep him because we can't afford it.

-we are all too blind to see an apparent smokescreen from Marotta over what is claimed to be a massive mercato failure and Pogba is only a year long bandaid fix

-he is somehow guaranteed to leave next summer but it will be the clubs fault for letting him go and disgracing the #10

-we all witnesses Galliani today which means we are going to sell next summer and saving face to fans because we aren't an oil rich club

-Pogba as #10 must mean without the shadow of a doubt he will be our AM and it's only Marotta trying to save face

Have I missed anything?

What does my, or another fan's opinion on whether the club will sign a top player have any bearing to how the club sees its supporters?

For the record, I don't think they are going to sign a ready made top player. Could they sign a player with the potential to be a top player? Possibly.
